True enough to be a sig quote.
as long as you give me credit, you are welcome to use it.

Holy Gr-Ale is pretty damn good too. Especially if you like Monty Python

Tough to say.

But I don't know if that statement excites me or repels me.

I've yet to find an IPA I truly enjoyed yet.
I am with you there. I think I am kind of a beer snob. So I think I have to find an IPA that I like. The closest I can get is a pale ale. I can drink Sierra Nevada Pale Ale and enjoy it, but it is not an IPA.
To answer the OP.
Plain old beer drinking is Bud Light or Rolling Rock.
My favorite beer right now is Hoegaarden. I just love the Belgian White/Witt/Heffeweisen styled beers.
Loving SOur Ales now as well. Duchess De Bourgeone.

If you drink it, you will smile.
Hell, I can't help but laugh whenever I drink it.

Lazy Magnolia- Southern Pecan. For some reason it's 10X's better on tap though. I finally found bottles in Ascension Parish last week at LeBlanc's.

Impossible question.
Probably my most memorable brew was Larry Bell's 5000th batch Smoked Beer, limited availability about a decade ago.
"COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Bell's Batch 5000 Ale is a smoked strong ale, brewed to celebrate Kalamazoo Brewing Company's 5000th batch. It is brewed with 26 % German, beechwood-smoked malt. It is very lightly hopped which showcases the rich caramel tones of the malt body that balances the assertive smoke flavor throughout. Batch 5000 would be a wonderful pairing for robust cheeses, sausages and smoked salmon. While drinkable now, Batch 5000 has an ageing potential of several years. The interplay of flavors will mature and develop subtly with time. Avoid any extreme temperatures, and keep at a cellar temperature below 65 °F. Single Batch Release - January, 2002 only."
LINK
If anyone here who loves beer ever ventures to the North, I would implore you to try Bell's beer. (Kalamazoo, MI)
