But you know what I really want? Somebody in this state to make a kick arse single IPA that I can find in cans (I'd accept bottles) on the regular. Why is that so damn hard?

See post above. I agree whole heartedly. It's forcing me to have to brew my own, which i'm not complaining, but i can't brew as often as I want.

Honestly, I'd rather have access to fresh GitM and Grace and Grit year round than have yet another out of state brewery clogging up the shelves with out of date regular offerings.

Yep,

Has to be fresh.

Speaking of Fresh...what's the deal with EnjoyBy series? I know I saw black IPA added to the series but seems like it's been a while since I've seen or heard about a regular enjoy by. Last one was what? July 4th?

That's pretty cool.

Has there been any talk on here about the Nitro IPA by Guinness yet?

I thought it was reasonable, like $12.99/ 6 pack. Though i haven't bought any from there in a while.

So $13 is reasonable but $14 is way too much?

It's $13.50- $15.50 here and while I really like the grapefruit sculpin I'm not paying that much. I can find $10 sixers that I like almost as much. We have a couple breweries putting out tall boy sixers for $11 which is a pretty good deal.

Most places up here are doing 4 packs of tall boys, or 12 oz 6 packs. Usually in the 8-10 dollar range, although Sculpin is in the $13-15 territory. Finding fresh Sculpin can be hard to do...

Does Parish or Great Raft do a lot of one-offs? It seems like I see a lot of folks drinking one-offs from NOLA or Bayou Teche, but not so much from Parish/Great Raft.

Seems like I saw a dry hopped version of GitM, but not many one-offs. Do they have a lot of different stuff that they serve at the source? Just seems odd, to me. Brewers usually like to play around and experiment. I mention this, because the one-offs beers can keep the beer rotation fresh without having a new brewery - even though they tend to be hit or miss...

And if you thought Oskar Blues shelf turds, wait til $14 6-packs of Sculpin show up. I like Sculpin. But not at those prices.

Yeah. I'll very occasionally buy the grapefruit once it shows up. That's just a bit too pricey for me. Honestly I more want them just to try out the rest of their line-up. I'll probably buy more Victory at Sea than anything else.

With the rate of breweries popping up locally I'm not going to be spend as much money on out of state beers.

Yep. I can get Hop Nosh at $9.99/6er, fresh Hop Hunter at $7.99/6er, and when in New Mexico, fresh LaCumbre Elevated is going for $8.99-9.99 per 4 pack of tall boys, I'm really not motivated to buy Sculpin off the shelf. I'll order it at some bars where a pint is priced the same as Hopadillo and such.
