Their fried catfish might be as good as any in the city, and their breakfasts are always spot-on. Went by to grab a to go order after my son's baseball game Friday night and I'm pretty sure I was the only one in there under the age of 70.
Lagnaippe
Jubans
Chelsea's
Roberto's
Parrains
Stroubes
Sammy's (Highland)
And I go out of my way to never eat at chains, but Bonefish Grill provides fish (type) selections no one else in town does anymore. I can catch and cook my own black drum and mahi as well as anyone in town, I can't cook arctic char that I don't have.

How could I forget little village? That is definitely a top 10.

Wow... I know there are no right and wrong answers, but I found some of these lists laughable. In fact, I decided to finally create an account because of that.
Personally I don't care for Flemings at all, due to multiple bad experiences there. I also don't care for some local favorites such as The Chimes, Sammy's, George's, Dempseys, and Zeeland Street Market. And seeing places like Brewbachers on lists makes me ponder as to whether the BR restaurant scene is truly as bad as some of these lists indicate.
I'll take some time to compile my own list and will post it later.

My list would include any ten of these:
Maison Lacour
Mansur's on the Boulevard
Delpit's Chicken Shack
Albasha
Our Table is Bread
Rama
Ruffino's
Thai Pepper
Gino's
Nino's
Little Village
Beausoleil
Latte e Miele
I've never been to Louisiana Lagniappe or Sushi Yama, although I've heard great things about both.
You'll also notice that I don't have any national chains on my list. As mentioned before, I don't care for Flemings, and while I like Ruth's Chris, I don't think it's worthy of the hype that some bestow upon it. PF Changs sucks, IMO. Actually, the national chain that I've enjoyed the most in BR has been Carrabbas.

My top 10 for BR and the surrounding area (no particular order):
Bernadette's
Latil's Landing
Roberto's
Ruffino's
Louisiana Lagnaippe
Jubans
Maison Lacour
Mansur's
Ichiban's
Parrain's/Doe's/Chimes (I always enjoy the meal at these 3)
I would have included Flemings, but I've only eaten there once, a couple of years ago and it didn't wow me. Also could have included Gino's and DiGuilio Bros. but both were disappointing recently.

This thread is going to send me into the asylum with all of the apostrophes on places that don't have them.

The bone-in ribeye at Little Village has been legit every time I've had it.
And I could easily say the same thing to you about Juban's... very inconsistent, IMO.
