Like I thought weight went back up, but that is the first time I've ever had a downwards "spike" so maybe it's setting up for some weight loss before football season

Broke thru the 220 barrier. Took about 8 months to move from 230 to 220. New goal, 210 for now.

Not even sure how to set a goal at this point. Just want to keep losing the fat and getting stronger per my workouts. noob gains should treat me well for a while. Eating 2k calories / day at the moment so should maintain fairly well right around the 200 mark and help transform some of the remaining fat in to muscle without having to alter much on the diet/weight.

First work out in two weeks last night, felt like crap, felt like I lost a lot over those two weeks. Since I wasn't happy with it I decided to go on a run afterwards, the first run in 3 years.

You could make your goal certain achieving higher weights and reps when working out, better body measurements like chest, biceps, waist etc, or body fat percentage. Total weight almost does nothing for you now

If you are still seeing a decent amount of fat on your stomach/not seeing your abs just set your next goal to be another 20 pds.

at 6'2 I'm not comfortable at all with being 180. Got to keep doing what I'm doing and get stronger/build muscle. I know the fat that's left will eventually melt away if I keep my workout and diet in check.

I just think that's too skinny for me, personally. Granted, I really don't know that and if I keep losing weight and find that it's not then I'm not against it by any means. But based on my current look, I just feel like I'd look like a pencil if I dropped another 20 pounds.

You might be suprised. Most people start looking bigger as they get more cut.

6'2" 180 isn't skinny at all if it's a fit 180. It can actually be pretty jacked. We have just become desensitized to people being overweight.

Feels nice getting back into some old clothes again.

Started June 4, so 2.5 months to lose 20 lbs. I'm going to Costa Rica in November, so basically 2.5 more. Not sure if I will hit my target before the trip but I feel certain I'll be in the 160's and would be thrilled with that.

I've been terrible with the diet the last week or so. Starting back on a strict diet Monday.

Question: Do yall think I could continue to lose weight by eating super clean Sunday - Friday and then football tailgating Saturday? My problem is never food on gameday but of course I'm drinking a lot and that's where all my calories come from. Obviously it would be slower I think but I wouldn't have a problem as long as it was still coming off. Thoughts?

If you are getting tore up on Saturday drinking all day tailgating, chances are you will be eating crap as well. Then factor in the Sunday hangover where you eat shitty too. It will negate all the hard work you put in during the week

If you are going to binge on game day, drink liquor with water or diet sodas, and if you are going to eat, try and limit it to proteins like burgers without the bun or chicken wings etc. Drink water throughout the day and before you go to bed. The big thing is controlling that Sunday hangover and the urge to eat like crap. Try waking up, having a nice breakfast and coffee, then knockout a good AM workout. It'll put you on the right track for the rest of the day

TBH though it doesn't sound like you are at the right point in your life to make this full commitment

Binge drinking and weight loss do not work together.

Put the plug in the chug for a month or two and that alone will help your results. Saves you from eating like shite also
