Do it mid-may and ive got a shot at bein there. Seriously interested in cookin a pot, if its a small enough pot... Not crazy about stirrin w a boat paddle. Not interested in those crazy jamabalaya competitions or the rules they implore. Keep it smaller, simple, and make it fun. My opine.

I'm piggybacking on your team boss. Unless Kajungee offers me a spot. . No hard feelings of course.

Since this thing seems to have traction, I'll throw out an offer to host in our parking lot. I'll pull a permit so nobody gets arrested. I'm deferring to the more experienced for rules/judging because I'll be proffering my own pedestrian version of the common man's rice dish to be raked across the coals.

Or, I'll just cook wherever.

I think small pot no rules to see what and how people come up with different versions of jambalaya is a great idea. 5 dollars and donate all proceeds to a local charity, 5 bucks gets you 5 sample bowls.

This, please. I want y'all to try my sushi jambalaya.

(I actually made this one time.)

Somebody could do jambalaya balls, jambalaya on a stick, etc.

Some of you may even discover tomatoes don't necessarily ruin a jambalaya.

You can barbecue it, boil it, broil it, bake it, saute it. Dey's uh, jambalaya-kabobs, jambalaya creole, jambalaya gumbo. Pan fried, deep fried, stir-fried. There's pineapple jambalaya, lemon jambalaya, coconut jambalaya, pepper jambalaya, jambalaya soup, jambalaya stew, jambalaya salad, jambalaya and potatoes, jambalaya burger, jambalaya sandwich...

One of the best jambalayas I've ever had was a Creole shrimp and ham version.

It was something like dis:

shrimp and ham jambalaya - with TOMATOES
