what exactly does everybody consider bringing back to a boil?

When bubbles start to pop
After I drop the bugs, as soon as I see bubbles I cut the fire and let them soak 20-30 minutes. I always taste a few before I pull them out of the water to make sure they have ab...

re: Question about Vanguard Mutual Funds - jeepfreak
I still have excess cash, and I don't want to put it all with the FA and his 1% fee.
Assuming this is a wrap fee, you're also buying I-shares with no sales fee and very low (less than 1%) admin/12b-1 fees. If you're buying A-shares in an individual brokerage account, you're paying...

re: location specific foods - jeepfreak
Oh, and a 1-1/4" thick ribeye from Joe Allen's steakhouse in Abilene, Tx. Ate one every other week when I lived out there and I miss those. Some of the best ribeyes I've ever had. Also a shout-out to the blackened ribeyes from a restaurant near Woodlawn whose name I can't recall. Shut down years ...

re: would you put money in a Savings or a CD? - jeepfreak
If you can leave it for 7 years, I'd look at an MLCD (Market-Linked CD). Principle is FDIC insured so you can't lose money and most have a minimum yearly interest payment of 0.5 to 1.5% with a 5-8% upside if the index does well. Minimum $10k to buy though....

Tio Javi's new light lunch menu - jeepfreak
As a disclaimer, Jav is a friend of mine so I'd dine(or drink...mostly drink) there even if the food was even remotely palatable, but he's making changes to the menu in the right direction. Thus far I've had 3 items from the new lunch menu and have been pleased with all 3. The ancho salmon is qu...
