Rice & gravy and meatloaf & mash potatoes.

Either could be my last meal.

Daddy's catfish courtbouillon with a side of his tomatoes and cucumbers from his garden with some salt, pepper and white vinegar on them. Of course it was even better with a cold beer sitting at the camp on the Calcasieu.

My favorites vary a lot and there are many depending on time of year and what I'm in the mood to eat. Too many to name and I'm not sure what you're looking for.

Crabmeat and spinach timbale with buerre blanc, grilled red fish on the half shell, steamed or roasted asparagus. If steamed, a little hollandaise with it.

Roast, rice and gravy, green beans or purple hull peas and cast iron cornbread.

Eggs benedict and steamed asparagus.

Shrimp gumbo and cast iron cornbread.

Cold salad plate with shrimp tossed in Cousin's creole tomato dressing, West Indies salad, steamed asparagus, sliced homegrown tomatoes and hard boiled egg wedges on gem lettuce.

Steamed artichokes and lobster, boiled shrimp or king crab legs.

Thick grilled ribeye with a little blue cheese butter, stuffed baked potato and roasted beet salad.

Chili and homemade (by someone else) tamales, guac and chips.

Shrimp toast, pork dumplings and some sort of Asian soup.

Cannelloni with pink sauce, Italian salad and toasted or grilled Italian bread with sesame seeds.

Calvin's chicken salad stuffed in a homegrown tomato.

Tomato sandwiches.

Grilled caprese sandwiches.

Over easy eggs, thick bacon, grilled tomato slices, crispy hashbrowns, buttered toast.

Hot Italian sausage with onions and peppers on a good sesame seeded bread.

Meatball sandwich on muffalatta bread.

Muffalatta.

Grilled thick pork chops, smothered corn or corn on the cob, lima or butterbeans and roasted tomatoes.

A variety of soups and gumbos with either cornbread or homemade hushpuppies or homemade croutons.

Carbonara and salad.

Grilled sausage, boudin and roasted beets or brussel sprouts.

Pulled pork sandwiches with potato salad and slaw.

Fried fish, hushpuppies, sliced onions and dill pickles, homemade tarter sauce and fries.

BBQ shrimp and French bread.

Smoked turkey sandwich with thick bacon with homemade honey mustard on dark rye, sometimes a little swiss cheese on it, slaw.

This is making me too hungry.

My thread inquiring about a certain poster and his weekend NOLA food/drink review got axed in less than 5 minutes. Whats up with that?

Charcuterie:

Hard salami
3 cheeses (usually brie, bleu, and parrano)
Assortment of vegetables (raw red peppers, carrots, olives, Wickles pickles)
Crusty bread
Crackers
Extra virgin olive oil
Honey
Some kind of preserves
Glass of red wine

Easy and delicious.
