Do you just stumble out of Finn's down Jeff Davis after a slate of games and squash the midday hangover at Kin?

I believe it's called a match. Apparently you need to be specially invited to the after party.

No its a restaurant however I think most people can understand that a spot doing cocktails, wine service, beer and doing 150-200 covers more a night while putting out excellent food is probably accomplishing more than a spot just putting out excellent food and 50-60 covers a night.

Again, not sure if this is part of why it didnt make these two arbitrary lists, but I could understand if that was part of it.

Given the profit margin on wine/liquor, they are losing out by not having a license.

Yep. But I know they have applied for one. Alcohol (and drink mark up in general) is such a tremendous boost to a restaurant bottom line. Unless you are an extremely high volume, low food cost operation (like a breakfast lunch spot in CBD say) tough to make it long term.

CBD Domenica's pizza quality has gone way, way downhill.

Only one I might quibble with is Clancys.

I went once and liked it, I sent people there and they didn't like it at all.

Kin,

I keep hearing so much good and I pass it every other day. Is it a classy place for lunch? Can I go there wearing a work clothes (dickie's top and bottoms?)
I used to bring a "lunch shirt, for when I wanted to try new places, but now I try and stay south of $20 for lunch and stopped eating as much table service for lunch.

Still would like to give Kin a try before I bring the picky missus.

Kin is casual. It's the size of a shoebox.

I thought they only did ramen for lunch?

Sure. I was wearing an Arsenal soccer jersey and shorts for lunch on Saturday. Go for lunch and sit at the counter.

Went to tujacques the other night.

Pretty good.
Had the pan seared fish.
I've forgotten what kind it was.

Coquette should be on the list and I agree with BO about Kin.

If and when kin moves and gets a liquor license it will be a contender. It's the best meal I've had in NOLA this year and the price with a no corkage fee BYOB makes it hard to beat.
