I don't get all the love for bar burgers. Blech.
The boudin burger at Wayne Jacobs smokehouse is worth the drive to Laplace...

I went to Company Burger today, I was really looking to try Liberty, but didn't want to park far, so I just went to company.

Got a Company Burger, an order of onion rings and a coke for $16.

It was good as always. I really like the onion rings, as they are made with red onions and are excellent. Though I think they need to flour, eggwash then flour, or flour then batter, because many of them lost their batter in cooking.
Still in all very good.
I had also added bacon to my burger, as they have excellent bacon.

The only knock against CB, is it is not as appealing as Cowbell and High Hat's options. I am thinking about moving Sammy's Deli into my top four though.

Not what I meant. You can't park at Comapny then walk to Liberty. You can get towed, my time in BR made me never want to park in a strip mall if I wasn't shopping there. I almost went to Freret St. Doughnuts as they have good lunch plates too.

But I hate parking in the ghetto and walking to Liberty, usually if I can't get a spot on Freret I'll go elsewhere. The other end by High Hat has that lot.

Freret St. Donut and Po Boys is putting out one of the better po boys in town. Especially hot sausage and fried shrimp.

I need to get over here. I'm close by and haven't tried them yet.

Are they ever open for dinner?

Unless you're a card carrying AARP member, no.

I swear they wasn't yesterday, they have the area in front of Dat Dog all torn up.
Then to be honest, before I turned to look to park in the hood, I thought of this thread.

Also decided I wanted onion rings and a burger.

Is this one poboys or two ?

Hot sausage and shrimp sound like a good combo.

I think they just focus on breakfast and dinner. I like it for a lot of reasons, but one is they are open on Sundays, when I always want a po boy but many places are closed.

No, but I always look at their clapboard when I drive down the street, if they have a hot plate special I go in. I was shocked by how good some of their plates were for $8 with a drink.

I'm counting the days.....

I'll have to check it out. Glad to hear about Sundays. I'm usually the fool driving by High Hat on Sundays only to be disappointed every time.

I've had their shrimp and roast beef and they were mediocre at best.

Guess I'll try the hot sausage.

Two but I am with you. Hot sausage topped with fried shrimp is a better idea than roast beef and fried shrimp.
