Has the Rising Star Chef of the Year been named yet? I went to Curate when I was in Asheville about two weeks ago and was disappointed.

Awesome awesome news for the whole city's dining scene.
Really good year for New Orleans.
On another note, I sort of watched Besh's new show, Hungry Investors. It looked hokey to me, but I'll watch another one to give it another chance.

Huge night for local culinary scene!

Make hay while the sun shines, I guess. But seems to me, might be prudent to say no, occasionally.

Ryan Prewitt-Peche and Sue Zemanick-Gautreau's tie for Best Chef-South.
Both well deserved.

That's great. Hope this doesn't change prices on the small plate menu.

Lunch is the key to Peche...I walk right in...never a problem.
That makes 5 JB awards for the Link Group. I have to wonder who is actually the best chef in the city right now. Perhaps dinner at August soon is in order...just for research purposes

He has the power....or he thinks he does.

That depends on your definition of chef.
Which restaurants are putting out the most consistent food and delivering great service? Id say we have 10-15 restaurants that are hitting those high marks with another 20-30 right behind them.

She did it on her merits. Best restaurant in the city and by a wide margin.
Congrats Sue and Pat.
