I'm on a cutting diet right now and eating small amounts of brown rice for my carbs. Is there any way to make this shite taste better without adding too many calories?

Toast it first, in a skillet.

Throw some steamed broccoli or carrots in there with it man. Add a little pepper, too.

I love brown rice. Rinse, toast it, then use chicken broth instead of water if you want flavor.

My stepdaughter's husband is a bodybuilder, and he eats white rice or grits (timed with his workouts) on a cut. He doesn't touch brown rice.

I've been competing in natural bodybuilding for 8 years. Never had to eat brown rice before I started and now I prefer brown rice to white

Start with 1/3 brown rice and 2/3 white.
Then go half and half.
Then go 2/3 brown and 1/3 white.
It works.

Wild rice tastes better and has a better texture than brown rice. Takes about 35 minutes to cook. serve with sautéed mushrooms and butter.

I so badly wanted to tell him to cook some white rice and then add soy sauce until you get it brown colored and then I hit your response.

I add chicken base, garlic powder, and onion powder. If you're making it for gumbo or any fish/shrimp dish I use shrimp stock or lobster base.
