re: How I Prep Artichokes - Tbobby
You can drop a couple artichokes in you crawfish boil and they're always a crowd favorite.
IMO, this is a waste of a good artichoke. They should be steamed or boiled in plain water, then served ONLY with with melted butter and salt. Any other way overwhelms the delicate flavor. I a...

re: Watch buying advice - Tbobby
I lurked a brand-specific watch forum for a few months. Some of the posters kept mentioning their favorite Authorized Dealer, but would not state publicly who it was. I emailed one of the posters and he provided me with the name and phone number of a small jeweler in NYC and I made the transaction w...

re: Thoughts on real estate agents and their commissions - Tbobby
My experience looking for a house: Looked at FSBO. Most homes already sold and none were available. Waste of time. Drove through nice neighborhoods looking for "For Sale" signs. 95% were already under contract with agents and in negotiation for sale. Waste of time. Got a Buyers' agent and f...

re: Thoughts on real estate agents and their commissions - Tbobby
If the seller has an agent and the buyer does not, the seller's agent gets full 6% commission paid by the seller. If both have an agent, the 6% commission gets split between the agents and paid by the seller. If neither has an agent, nobody loses money to commission. In summary, if you are ...

re: Thoughts on real estate agents and their commissions - Tbobby
There is such thing as a buyers agent though it is rarely done that way.
Disagree. A buyer's agent does not cost the buyer anything. The seller pays all fees (usually 6% commission split equally between the buyer's agent and the seller's agent). So basically, a buyer gets free...
