Ken (Southern Maid) makes the best donuts in BTR area. He's located in Geismar.

I love Donuts, but have decided that my life is better without them.

If you ever want to feel self righteous, say "no" to the offer of a donut.

I keep telling myself that and it never feels good.

However, I have not had a donut in maybe three years. I have no idea if that makes me a better person or not, but it is the truth.

used to be
closed down now.

When I moved back i started wearing out Fleur de lis at jefferson/highland. I like them better than Mary Lee's stuff. Plus sometimes they have a maple bacon donut on the weekends....

I've had 3 in 6 months. After 5 months on WW, down 37 pounds, I went off the deep end on spring break. Went to the Donut Hole in Rosemary Beach area and ate 3 donuts and a chocolate shake. It was glorious.

To each his own, but the sausage in their kolaches just taste like a boiled hot dog weenie to me.

I loved Shipley's, but cant get them up here in Virginia. Krispy Crème and Dunkin Donuts are no better than what you get at Wal-Mart.

Shipley's kolaches are not good, to me their sausage tastes just like a boiled hot dog weenie. I don't know where you live, but next time you are in Texas get kolaches from Prasek's, Mornings Kolaches, or Naeglin's Bakery and they blow Shipley's out the water.

The donut holes from Cal's Bakery in Gonzales R.I.P.

Shipley's are okay. Round Rock donuts aren't bad.
