They were a side add on for something like $5. Now he has you paying $40+ for them.

Twice I have seen people walk out because they found out there were no burnt ends. He now has an opportunity to pull $50 from these people. Makes sense to me.

Same amount of people walking out yet he is making 10x the money off the same product. Seems like the point goes to Chef Rob there.

It looks like he is taking advantage of a loyal following is what I am saying.

The loyal following bought the $40+ sampler for burnt ends when it was NOLA Smokehouse.

Seriously, you couldn't buy burnt ends like you did the first few weeks at CCBBQ.

The only way now to get his #1 menu item is to buy the $49 sampler. No thanks, brah.

hahah...GTFO Rob.

The ends are the only thing worth going for. I frequently eat alone. I'm not buying $49 of BBQ to eat some burnt ends.

I've gotten the sliced brisket twice. Once was really good, the other time it was very ordinary.

I haven't had them as the time I went they were $19 for a plate, but were out.

If I go to pick up lunch, I am not spending $49+ just for that.

They were $17 for a plate, but then I added a drink and a rib and it was $23 with tax. Not bad just a tad over a normal lunch. I spend $17 total at Company Burger ,ost times for less food.

I plan to go to CCBBQ this week to try a sandwich and get the beans again.

I like BBQ. I eat out a lot. I follow a low carb diet so mass quantities of meat is my thing. I've eaten at Central City, Frey, and Blue Oak every week for the past 3 weeks. The CC burnt ends were awesome. The CC ribs weren't that great to me. Like I said, I had great brisket once there, and average brisket the other time. That time was at 3pm on a Friday.

I don't know what each place does to keep the food before serving, but I've had great tasting brisket at 7pm at Blue Oak. I had blue oak last night. Wings, brisket and Ribs. All were excellent. Frey's wings have been really good as well after the first week. They have jumbo meaty wings and good ribs, but I prefer the ribs to not be sauced.

What a shame. Loved the burnt ends. Had the brisket once. Extremely dry. Looks like I have no need for this place any longer. Rob and his ego are his worst enemies.

Aren't burnt ends limited? I see a lot of people complaining but it's not like he could produce an unlimited amount of burnt ends without cooking too much brisket and thus probably losing money. I also think he is the only one doing them in this area because of the extra steps in making them.

I liked blue oak but thought the brisket was a lot better at central city bbq. Ribs were similar from what I remember. Have to try both of them again.
