Plus it's really just about eating challenges, and very little about food prep.

I watch Triple D a lot, but guy is just the sideshow, the stars are the restaurant owners. I love the pride they have in their restaurants and their special dishes, it's why I avoid chains, I want to eat in a place that is someones pride and joy. You can tell when Guy is not in love with a place, it can be funny, 2 instances were The Shed and LA Pines. When he saw how much sugar The Shed put in their BBQ sauce we rolled his eyes. LA Pines in Slidell is just very mediocre.

We have used his show to find some spots we might never have gone into, Katie's, Louie and TRHL and several more when traveling.

can you please tell me what this means to you as it pertains to Guy?

You've got this question backwards. Guy Fieri define doucheness. He is the definitive douchebag.

Any dictionary that does not define "douchebag" with the simple phrase "Guy Fieri" is behind the times and out of date.

Children of sound parentage are instructed to study Guy Fieri, and to behave exactly the opposite of that Duke of Douchedom.

You can tell how much of a douche someone is by how much he or she is like Guy Fieri. The Guy Fieri Douchebag Index (GFDI).

Saw a strange thing on DDD the other night.

The patrons were talking about this chicken pot pie soup or something. Looked pretty shitty but instead of the usual deal, Guy starts making a soup and has the owner try it. Guy must not have wanted that shitty soup.

I don't find him to be a douche at all. Considering he was just an ordinary guy (pardon the pun) before he won their reality show, he has done pretty well for himself. I like Adam Richman, Bourdain, and Zimmern too.

I love to watch the show to get some new cooking ideas but I cant watch on an empty stomach. I'd be at wallmarks buying up the entire grocery store watching some of the goodness that they cook on there.

I agree. I get uncomfortable for some of it

Guy makes cheesy jokes, but I'm am a huuuuge sucker for a good cheesy joke. I'll laugh along without realizing it, and Jones just looks at me from across the room like I'm stupid.

I used to watch DDD regularly. Loved seeing the different spins chefs put on food. Have gotten burned out on it though and hardly ever watch. What a great gig to have for Guy.

I hope that's just trolling. I hope you don't get that riled up over a guy that probably wore dragon shirts during high school, but was otherwise a nice guy.

He's got some baggage with him. I watch the show because I like the places he goes not him. And his Vegas place just opened.

Interesting article, thanks for posting. I knew he changed his name but didn't know that Fieri is a family name that he changed it back to. Interesting..
