man, I watch this damn show all the time. when it's on, I can't flip to anything else. not sure why I like it so much but, I find it fascinating.

what do you not like about him? is it the way he dresses? I think he does a pretty good job as the host. he knows his shite. that's for sure. and, it's always "upbeat".

A little bit if I'm being honest. But mostly he just seems like a massive douche. Most of what I've read about him seems to corroborate that. A friend of mine was at a restaurant when he was there with his crew and they said he treated the restaurant people like shite. Not okay.

I love that show, but i hate guy because he has the best job in the world imo and im jealous as hell.

I like his show. I had never had Katie's, The Joint, Sammy's Deli or the Rivershack before I saw them on his show.
When I travel I look up episodes of his show to find good, well priced options.
Mostly spot on.

He went somewhere with a homemade turkey sandwich for five dollars. Problem is the dude sprinkled about two teaspoons of salt and pepper only on a 24 pound turkey then put it in the oven and called it done.
But of course Guy ate it like a starving Kenyan. We all know that turkey tasted like shite. That's my problem with the show. You aren't getting a review.
I like the show just for entertainment. But his doucheness nearly ruins it, as well as him pumping up a lot of dishes we know aren't worth a frick.

He does say he likes everything but you can tell when stuff he eats isn't good.

I enjoy the show. Guy is okay. He's a bit over the top for my taste, but he doesn't bother me.
I'd like to follow him around on those trips, though.

it's fun watching chefs do their thing with dishes that they've been flipping for a long time. I think that's what I like about it the most. I love the way that they just do it so "smoothly" as it has become second nature to them.

I know this individual well. I know they don't have a vindictive bone in their body. I know they are generally fair and never been steered wrong by their judgments of people. I suppose I could wait until I meet them, but I could also wait until I have a finger shoved up my butt to check my prostate before I know that I don't like it. It's all well and good to provide people with an opportunity to prove themselves, but at the same time some things don't necessarily NEED to be experienced.
ETA: And I agree that his job seems awesome. No way would I object to doing it. Who would?

I'm a big fan of the show. I think Guy plays up his persona and I don't blame him for it nor does it bother me.
