My wife is from Iowa and her Dad recently gave us some ring bologna. It's in a casing like sausage. Not sure what to do with it. Is it like a dry sausage? It came from a meat locker, btw. Tks for any info...

I've done it many times. Season well and add a bit of water the fat will add enough moisture that it won't burn ETA: I do it for pulled pork as well and add sesoned sliced onion on top...
