I love the show. I get to see multiple dishes from multiple places made in 30 minutes.

I watched an episode where he went to a gas station restaurant and the sign outside said regular unleaded was only $1.45

I've been to quite a few of the spots from that show after watching it. I gotta say, if anyone is ever in Baltimore, you HAVE TO go to the Blue Moon Cafe. They did the Captian Crunch French Toast show, and it is incredible.

I don't even like French Toast and it was the bomb. The rest of the menu was incredible as well. I went 3 times in the week I was there .

I enjoy the show. I really like how some of those small places show (to a certain extent) you how they do their specialty dishes. It's interesting to see different food trends in different areas.

One thing that surprised me on the show is Louisiana's influence on other states. I've seen a lot of dives in the north (as far as Canada) that had Louisiana themed dishes (etoufee, poboys, alligator dishes, gumbo, etc.)

I enjoy it. He earned brownie points w/ me because he featured a place from my hometown (Lo Bello's in Coraopolis, PA).

And dear God don't eat any of them. You of all people should know that. Wherever I am I am eating what they are known for. I'm not in the Great Lakes eating gumbo even if Paul Prudhommes mother is in the kitchen.

I agree and it's all "Cajun" and none of them are anywhere near "Cajun". A bunch of burnt shite with cayenne pepper isn't Cajun and I'm a south Baton Rouge Irish jackass that knows that..

Put some of these boys here on them and that will stop.

And on topic I enjoy the places but from what I've read he's pretty full of it. ,just google and see.

I went to Parasol's last night... my wife was on there w/ Guy. He's alright, no issues with the man. I just find his show a bit hokey.

I would watch an entire network of nothing but Triple D. Fieri's schtick gets old, he seems pretty egotistical, but for some reason I think he's probably a decent guy.

quote:

Guy ate it like a starving Kenyan. We all know that turkey tasted like shite. That's my problem with the show. You aren't getting a review.

What would you prefer he do? Look at the guy, tell him it's average, cut camera and roll out? I'll bet most of what he eats is awesome...you can tell when he really digs something vs. thinks it's nothing special. When it's meh, he just starts naming the ingredients..."oh you can really taste the _____." There are plenty of other places to get reviews.

That's good show too.

What I can't stand is that man vs food. Adam is too corny

If course they all have bad arse jobs. I envy Anthony

Love the show, Guy bugs me.

He's probably a good guy like Dangling Fury said but his schtick gets old. I just wish he'd let the cooks he's there to see explain, then do his routine.

He's not the only person on TV to change his name. Guy Ferry isn't too catchy. I wonder if it's a shortened version of an ancestral name.
