Since the days of Bizarre, with Andrew Zimmern, I've been wanting this:

Also, from Zimmern's show:

Some say both are terrible. I really think I'd like the hakarl. Not sure about the durian. I think he said the texture of rotten onion. Not sure how that would be good, no matter the flav. But I'd try a bite.

99% of the things he eats on his show are absolutely disgusting. With that said, the older I get the more I find that I like things that taste bad.

A neighbor once told me the Vinh Phat market on Florida sells frozen durian. I think I've seen it in the freezers there.

No one actually likes the hakarl. It is straight ammonia. I've tried it a couple times and see no reason to do it again.

Really? It's just that bad huh?

That sucks. The texture looks like butter.

Which is a shame because it looks like it should be delicious.

The swordfish bone marrow from Bizarre Foods has my curiosity.

I had some stewed goat hearts about a year ago that were delicious.

The only things I can think are stuff Zimmern has shown... including lutefisk.

And that $150 Kobe burger from some hotel in NYC. Determined to do that the next time I'm in the city.

I wanted to like it... The shite is fricking horrible. Literally no redeeming quality. Pure ammonia.

And this is coming from someone that loves funk in food. I can drink fish sauce, love the stinkiest of cheese... I just could not enjoy any part of it

Now don't get me wrong, when in Iceland you need to atleast try it ... Just don't say I didn't warn you
