re: I forgot how good Sam Bradford's 2008 season at Oklahoma was - TejasHorn
He's the best QB Stoops has had and probably the best all around ever at OU. Seems like a genuinely good guy too. Hope he does well except twice a year....

re: Are Realtors Scumbags on Average? - TejasHorn
Just like every other sales job they're trying to maximize their profit. Some think longer term (honesty and good service = referrals) while some aren't as professional and think shorter term. I wouldn't put them in the same group as used car guys....

Murder rates "rising sharply" in major US cities - TejasHorn
In New Orleans, 120 people had been killed by late August, compared with 98 during the same period a year earlier. In Baltimore, homicides had hit 215, up from 138 at the same point in 2014. In Washington, the toll was 105, compared with 73 people a year ago. And in St. Louis, 136 people had ...

re: Jalapeno heat - TejasHorn
It seems like the bigger the milder in my experience. It's true there is an incredible range. I've had some that were closer to bell pepper in flavor and heat. Others that would make you cry....

re: Where was your first job, and how old were you when you started? - TejasHorn
Hot dog stand at the mall. 15. There was this old afghan lady that worked there. Sweet as she could be. I think she was a refugee from the soviet invasion and part of the owner's family. Anyway, she was an awesome cook and had perfected chili making when she got to Texas. That was a very ...

re: Women Turning 50 in 2015 - TejasHorn
Is amazing how good people look at 50 and 60 nowadays... Actresses have usually held their own, but just out in the gen. pop 50 is definitely like 40 used to be....

re: Dominos is Suprisingly Awesome - TejasHorn
Dominos is ok but I've found their locations to be very inconsistent. For pizza especially, most chains are inferior to mom and pops who aren't all about the assembly line efficiencies....

re: 2015 hottest year on record 'by a mile' - TejasHorn
I see this topic was met with the usual astute retorts. My favorite is the the cherry picking "it was cold somewhere in the world so global warming must be made up." Meaning at least you trust NOAA and the temperature readings in some cases. Not so much in others. ...

re: Burger King has a proposal for McDonald's...Update: McDonald's has declined - TejasHorn
BK's regular "mini" burgers are probably the best out there. The ones that are $.79 or whatever. Other than that they are poorly run and their franchisees often revolt. Very poorly managed company....

re: Why cant we deport illegal immigrants? - TejasHorn
Why not?
Because it would be the biggest economic collapse we've seen since... oh, the great depression? Go back to the drawing board OP. Start with how do we get our multitudes of unemployed able-bodied residents to compete for those jobs....

re: Texas @ Notre Dame- week 1 - TejasHorn
As many high school stars that come out of the state of TX every year it's baffling how UT ever got to a "rebuilding" stage
Same reason Miami, USC, LSU, Ohio St. etc. etc. have been down over the years. There are other places to go to school. Texas has like 10 D1 football prog...

Population predictions for 2050 - TejasHorn
Highlights... 1. India (1.66 billion). Will add 300m by 2050 (or almost another "U.S." in terms of population) :ahh: 2. China (1.33 billion). Will actually shrink from 2030 to 2050 as population ages. 3. U.S. (398 million). Migration contributing much to the increase. 4. N...

re: It's becoming a little dangerous out there. - TejasHorn
Violent crime has actually declined significantly since the 70's when shite was really unsafe. New York exhibit A. As another poster said all these news channels, news sites, and our social media addiction have to fill time with something....
