re: Things you've put in your mouth that you wish you hadn't - TejasHorn on 7/4/15 at 1:26 pm
Can't believe no one has said can of beer with cig butt. Happened to me at least twice in college. sea urchin has been mentioned. Tasted like I I imagine used mop water would taste....Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0)
re: NASCAR asks Fans to Leave Confederate Flag at Home - TejasHorn on 7/4/15 at 9:19 am
This is absolutely a good move. Sorry some here don't see it. NASCAR does not want this issue bearing down on them so it's a preemptive move. And their fans aren't going anywhere because of this lol....

re: Does anyone else find Southern cuisine outside of LA lacking? - TejasHorn on 6/29/15 at 12:15 pm
Gravy outside of LA
True.. LA style gravy is usually superior to anywhere. I don't think it's bad cooks as much as tradition and not caring as much. Same for Texas BBQ snobs who frown on adding any kind of sauce to meat. Even though most folks like a good sauce....Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0)
re: New Braunfels tubing - TejasHorn on 6/26/15 at 3:43 pm
Comal is the shortest river in Texas and springfed. Flooding is not an issue unless there is a deluge currently underway. It's your best option in CenTex right now. My advice is to go earlier in the day and do a couple of trips down. Then hit Gruene afterwards....Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0)

I think I need to watch it again. I watched moonrise kingdom and grand Budapest back to back and enjoyed the former much more. Royal Tennnenbaums is still WA's masterpiece IMO....Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (1)
Any good Louisiana restaurants here?
Nate's in Addison used to be pretty good and one of the few options. He is from the right place. But the food seems to be overpriced and kinda skimpy these days. Along with Austin and Houston, Dallas has had a real restaurant renaissance ov...Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0)
re: Does the SEC want the Sooners? - TejasHorn on 6/25/15 at 5:20 pm
In 15 years, OU may have the same appeal as picking up Nebraska, but with even less prestige. A once great program that has rusted twice over.
The problem with OU is Bob Stoops. Like Mack, he's rested on his turnaround job and being king of the castle, which was very impressive 1...

So wrong on many levels.... but here's a consolation prize. Glen Campbell's "Galveston" was an anti-war song....

Global warming vs. climate change. A quick tutorial. - TejasHorn on 6/25/15 at 9:32 am
Global warming refers only to the Earth’s rising surface temperature, while climate change includes warming and the “side effects” of warming—like melting glaciers, heavier rainstorms, or more frequent drought. Said another way, global warming is one sympt...

I add sliced japs to totino's combination (pepperoni and Canadian bacon). And cook on foil since I don't like too dry a crust. It is the best thing in life for $1.49....Jump to Post - View Topic - Replies (0)
