re: Baton Rouge vs Austin

Austinites have been lamenting and missing “the old days” literally since the old days. Cranes have been a prominent part of the skyline since the 70s. I don’t look at it as one city anymore. It’s made up of some really cool hoods and enclaves along with some areas that suck. It’s just a big city...
While Biden has always been about as smart as an ashtray he really hasn’t lost much ‘zip’ and energy, Trump on the other hand has quite obviously declined. if he’s not disqualified or in jail in November I’m betting he’s still not on the ballot due to health reasons. We’re talking about old me...
Camelot music at the mall. There was nothing like buying a brand new record and wearing it out. ...

It gets a bad rap in DFW but I’ve always liked the sausage sandwich, and the sides are pretty good. Also the super large sweet tea....
My emotional attachment is fading and I can sense it in others. CFB is dying with a whimper, not a bang. ...
Why hasn’t trump chimed in on this? I wonder what he’d say. Didn’t he have a pow wow with Mike right before this passed?...
Pizza Inn thin crust is the GOAT but they’re hard to find now....

Streaming and cable has replaced movies. “Not that there’s anything wrong with that.” We’ve had Sopranos, GOT, Mad Men, Breaking Bad, etc. etc. ...
Too lazy to find it but I’ve read where “tornado alley” has essentially moved from the plains to the southeast US, as far as number and intensity. So, thank you SEC for moving all the tornados to your hood....
What goes up… Boomers offloading homes is the big story here. We’re gonna see a massive housing price correction over the next several years and it doesn’t matter who’s sitting in the Oval Office....
And I would like to remind the OP and everyone else it all happened on Trumps watch. And he takes full credit for developing an amazing vaccine in record time. And most of you people want to return to 2020. ...
Unfortunately this tweezer d is a role model for socially awkward young males, of which there are millions. When I was that age our role models were David Lee Roth and Bon Scott. You know, wholesome types who respected women....
I’m suspicious this example in the OP is “taking over downtown LA.” Having been there in the recent past. And also wonder if this wasn’t some city-allowed “art” thing. Anyway, you haven’t seen true city-wide graffiti until you’ve been to Lisbon. It seems everyone is ok with it, as long as it sta...

Denver has never had great uniforms. It’s tough with that color scheme. But the old orange crush unis in the 70s and 80s was at least decent....
Good news doesn’t sell advertising. But there’s a lot of it. [link=(https://www.goodnewsnetwork.org/)]The Good News Network[/link]...
I can see both sides of NCs. You bring in business under a company’s umbrella and on their dime and resources to support you. On the other hand, if said business wants to work with you and only you there’s not a lot of teeth to them legally....

re: RFK Jr. - Trump's VP pick?

He wants a sycophant lap dog, not someone who is legit nuts and not just riffing like he does....
10 year rule still applies. It depends a lot on the people in the relationship of course, but it really helps to have some common background and memories of cultural events etc....

There is definitely something likable about Scottie. He’s like Jethro or Gomer Pyle who can stripe a 4-iron 250 within 4 feet of the hole. Dude is money right now....
