re: The Wild DFW Housing Market--my experience - TejasHorn
Yet, Millennials are still slow to buy houses, which makes me think that this market will be hot for a while as they start buying up houses.
I keep reminding people in my industry that older millennials are well into their 30's. (if you go by the 1980 and later definition). They...

Mexican cartel violence encroaching on Cabo - TejasHorn
Was just there in February. The pickups with rifle-toting young policemen seemed a bit ominous. We were told that's why the only bandits in Cabo are timeshare salesmen. [link=(http://bigstory.ap.org/394c24f7503a49dba95cefe014059443)]More bodies found, this time in heart of tourist area[/lin...

Costco suing maker of Titleist golf balls - TejasHorn
Can't remember if the Kirkland golf ball thread was posted here. Makers of Titleist are none too happy and have sent cease and desist letters around the ball's claims. Costco answering in kind. [link=(http://money.cnn.com/2017/03/21/news/companies/costco-titleist-golf-balls-lawsuit/)]LINK[...

re: The LITTER in BR is EVERY WHERE! - TejasHorn
Litter has gotten massively worse the last few years. The toll roads in Texas are usually picked up and clean, but non-toll roads are a massive dump, especially in urban areas.. the crooks are using it to convince us how much better tolls are....

re: Ownership of a college degree is a poor proxy for intelligence, imo - TejasHorn
I'd advise young folks to instead learn a trade like carpentry, electrician/HVAC, plumbing, etc. There will always be a demand, solid pay, and you can eventually be your own boss. Few years of apprenticeship is all that's needed....
