Not familiar with that area or those docs, just make sure who you are seeing is a shoulder guy, if so go with what they say, if you want to drive to BRfor a second opinion I recommend Dr nick hatzis

I had hand surgery by Bonatz at south lake. Did a good job.

Bonatz is very good. A bit weird but very good.
Handled some issues with my hand and my dad's torn bicep.
Mom worked at Southlake for quite a while.

I had both hips replaced... Doesn't hinder me, but it does make it more difficult jumping in and out of a boat, and getting into a pirogue...
and it's more difficult standing on one leg while working a trolling motor with the other for over 4 hours...

Stingray barb through the right ankle. Took 3 to 4 moths to heal to the point of no limp.
Needless to say I have a mental inability to ever wade fish the surf. Loved it at one time too.

Bet his glaucoma and cataracts have slowed down his reading speed, then you have to take into account the severe dementia to come back with a remark plus the arthritis in his hands that delay his typing speed. We could be here awhile waiting on this.... Give him time, hes eating his prunes and metamucil.

Get your shoulder scoped by a good shoulder ortho pod before you tear you rotator cuff
All you fellas listen to this man if you have shoulder issues at ANY age.
Would have saved myself alot of trouble, pain and money down the road if I had done this years ago. Instead I toughed it out, said I was a man and could handle it, and kept shooting tournaments, lifting heavy, etc.
Now at 52 I have had 3 shoulder ops looking to a fourth and eventual fifth thanks to my hard-headedness.
Had complete right shoulder replaced just over a year ago. First time trying to draw my bow this past season brought me to non-stop tears.Left shoulder joint is full of loose bodies and needs another scope to clean it out before eventual replacement within 5-7 years.
Moral of the story, if it hurts, get it looked at by a Doc. Having both mine scoped 20 years ago or so would have saved me an awful lot of pain and helped preserve what little bit of cartilage was still good at that time.
Lessons learned youngsters...listen to yer elders.

Bad ankle but I power through it. It's gotten better over time, for now. I'm sure it'll cause me a lot of problems when I'm older. It's ight though, I can put a seat on the boat, and I like ground blinds anyway.

Compression fracture to L1 vertebrae Holy Saturday last year. Fell off ladder doing work at camp. No boat for 4 months. Was horrible!

I got hit by a stingray a couple of years ago. Took several months to get over that but all is fine now.
I really don't have anything that keeps from from anything.
