My good friend fell out of a deer stand december 2010. Shattered his leg, ended up getting to july and doctor gave him a decision. Amoutate and be done with the infection and pain... or do a bone graft that takes one year to "take" and only 50/50 shot it does. Beings it was mid july and dove season was september he said he wasnt missing hunting season. So he told doc to take it. Doctor took leg off below the knee mid january. Sept 3rd he was in dove field hunting with one leg. So i try not to let sore muscles or bones keep me from the woods

One of my good buddies is confined to a wheelchair, electric of course. His MS has gotten progressively worse over the years. He's bass fished all our life's. He is the president of our bass club. We have to load him in the boat and he takes over from there. He has the smoothest hook set I've ever seen and is a very knowledgeable bass fisherman. He's very inspiring to be around him. Especially doing what he does best......FISH!

I've developed a pretty bad case of tennis elbow
I had this and would put on a band designed to help alleviate the pain. had the problem for several years. A doctor told be to put it in ice for as long as you can stand it. at least 30 minutes. two things about this. 1. you must protect your skin from freezing so no direct contact. put ice in ziplock freezer bag or elbow in thick plastic bag and immerse in ice water. 2. it is the longer length of time that heals it. the standard is 15 minutes cold and 15 minutes hot.
He said the 15 minutes is not long enough to shrink the inflammation. the longer time shrinks it back to normal. I did it twice and got rid of the pain for several years. it flared up again when I was working on something and was twisting hard on it(fuel separator in the boat). did the ice trick again and its been several months and no pain.

I have epilepsy, so climbing stands aren't really the best thing for me. I have to stay away from heights.
So I only hunt deer from a box stand or a ground blind.

Cartilage in knee is eroding & I'm only 28. Of all the sports I played it occurred in a basketball game. Running controlled burns takes a while to get over. I do a lot of hog hunting on foot & it's painful too. A few weeks ago I went to a chiropractic clinic for a buddy who is in school there & they laughed at how extensive my medical history is. I will probably require knee replacement surgery before the age of 40.

I fell in 2012 and broke my neck and blew a disc out backwards into my spinal cord. I had my spinal cord mashed flat against the back of my neck. Worked for 3 weeks and didn't know. Had 3 surgerys and now am disabled. I am still able to walk a little. I am not supposed to shoot anything bigger than a .22 LR. I got a 6.5x55 Swede to deer hunt with. My hands and feet are still numb. I cut and burn my hands all the time and don't feel it. Can't draw a bow anymore, lost a lot of strength. I am just glad to still be walking and breathing.

Not and injury but more of an illness.

I have 3 herniated discs in my back. Never had any real issues since I injured it 5 years ago until now. My L5 is pushing on my ciatica nerve causing almost unbearable pain just below my arse check for the last 2.5 weeks. I have had a compound fractured leg before and that pain was nothing compared to this. Today was the 1st time I went fishing since the pain began and I had to leave fishing less than 2 hours after I got started. At one point I was laying on the bottom of my boat with my legs propped up to try to control the pain. Ended up having to leave though.

I have my share of aches and pains, but I have met a few members of the OB that laugh at some of the statements in this thread compared to what they deal with, and never let it stop them from enjoying the outdoors, and never look for any sympathy

My left nut hangs really low and sometimes I sit on it when I sit down in a climber after standing up to stretch my legs

had impingment-something-or-other in a shoulder once that prevented me from drawing my bow or lifting a shotgun to eye level. got it fixed QUICKLY and hasent come back thankgoodness
How'd you have this repaired? I've gone to 2 different docs and have a terrible internal impingement. 16 weeks total of therapy and not better at all.
It's from pitching and such, still playing baseball but after catching a whole game I can barely wipe my own arse.
Kills me kayak fishing sometimes.

Get your shoulder scoped by a good shoulder ortho pod before you tear you rotator cuff

Bastards won't scope me for anything. Even after 2 mri's that show slight tearing of the labrum and rotator cuff.
My range of motion is off by over 30 degrees. It's like they want the shite to tear before they do anything.
They tell me it will go away after getting my range of motion back.
