Within the past couple months, I've developed a pretty bad case of tennis elbow. shite hurts. Was working outside today building a new chicken coop and by the end of it, I could barely pick anything up with my right arm. It hasn't acted up during any kayak fishing yet....but if it does, I'll have to battle thru it.

Ive heard tennis elbow makes people learn to cast differently.

I'm not too worried about casting...it's the paddling that could get rough. I guess I need to get to the doctor at some point.

I have a knee problem, specifically my IT band, and it won't allow me to hike to 14,500 feet anymore

It was temporary, but I had a cast from my shoulder to my hand for 6 months in high school. Could only use a cane pole.

Perfect vision till retina in right eye detached 6 months ago. 4 surgeries later, with one more in a month, can't see shite out of that eye. Shotgun with left eye shouldn't be bad but left handed rifle seems impossible. Just another reason to enjoy the camp life without chasing the kill.

Pins in shoulder 20 years ago= no bow hunting. Pumped about new crossbow possibilities.

I can empathize with your loss of high elevation hiking. Five level lower back fusion really screws up my balance. The loss of flexibility has an extremely detrimental effect on my balance. I expected the trouble with cinching up my boots but balance?

But the surgery allows me many pain free miles that had become otherwise unattainable.

I was on a dove hunt on the Mexico border last year and came down with fifths disease. Could barely pickup the shotgun. Went to ER, they misdiagnosed as Lymes or possible West Nile. Or at least that's what I understood from what the Latin folks spouted out. My son had it 2 months later, it only produces a rash in children, thank god. That's when I figured out what I had. It produces acute arthritis in adults, man that shat was painful blowing through cases of shells!!

Was jumping in the boat last year at Toedo and felt something pop in my calf.
Second day of a 7 day trip.
I limped in extreme pain the rest of the vacation but damned if I was coming home early.

Smoked the bass, so the pain was lessened.

Sometimes I injure myself with whiskey and it hurts too bad to hunt.

Torn and never repaired acl.

Multiple dislocations of shoulders from trying to move things I shuoldnt.

Bulging discs and one spiderwebbed from an accident which we are hoping repairs itself without fusing.

Stretched tendons in both wrists from airbags deploying and driving my hands into my shoulders at an angle.

But the worst is the little part of my brain that says I'm still 15 and bulletproof. I'm reasonably sure I can't be killed at this point... Just really banged up lol
