Unwanted advocates thrown on lawn

Does anyone else have advocate teaser papers thrown on their lawn almost everyday? I called the advocate to ask them to stop and they said they weren't sure if it was possible to stop leaving them at a specific address. Anyone have this issue? I find it somewhat rediculous that a business drives by my house unsolicited every morning and throws what I consider trash in my yard that I have to pick up and throw away.

I cancelled my subscription years ago and still get the full paper daily.

You should collect them and at the end of the year ride by the Advocate and throw them on their property

That's funny because when I called the advocate and told them someone was throwing trash on my yard every morning they said to call the cops then reversed on that pretty quick when I said it was them throwing it in my yard.

Yes and hour HOA pres has sent them a letter asking them not to do that because we have no soliciting signage posted. Hasn't helped yet. It's absolutely littering.

How is this a productive or cost efficient marketing strategy? They also always seem to toss it in a puddle so it's nice and soggy.

I'm considering this. I mean, if they can't get in trouble for it, why would I?

I thought I was the only one that thought this was littering. I'm glad I'm not alone.

Im collecting mine to bring them down there in a few months. I'm hoping to make a large pile.

They are usingthis to inflate their circulation numbers to potential advertisers. It is very dishonest and one of many reasons that newspapers are failing.

We received the full Advocate paper for 5 years after canceling our subscription. They seem to have no clue who should and shouldn't be getting their product.

I e-mailed subscriptions@theadvocate.com about this yesterday actually. No response yet. Probably won't get a response. But maybe enough of us bombarding them will do something. Probably not, though.

This was the first thing that I thought of when I read this. But I wouldn't do it once a year, I would make it a monthly thing.
