re: Single or Double Axle trailer for side by side - Grassy1
The weight of this toy is relevant. A tandem axle trailer is virtually impossible to move by hand. Vehicles with two axles do not "turn", they drag one pair of tires, which is added tire wear, and a hassle to move. If the weight demands it, get it. Otherwise, you're just injecting one more ma...

re: Which OBer took this offshore drone video? Pretty Legit. - Grassy1
Nice video! On the flare... You can't always capture "everything", so you just have to burn it off sometimes. No one likes to flare and the size varies by the situation. They are used in most all petro-chemical plants to varying degrees. Permits are issued to flare X amount of gas for the gi...

just turned 14. First chair in band, and straight A's, gets encouragement from us, but highly self-motivated. Wish all parents had it so easy. Hence my search for good instruction... Continuing to encourage! and thanks for the compliment. She did that work at school in class, so I know sh...

re: I may be in the market for an F-250 over the next few months - Grassy1
I'm often tempted by those fine lookin F250's, and they're cool to ride in. My wife even asks me why I don't go buy a "new truck." I have an '07 Chevy with a Duramax that has 120k miles on it. Not an eye catcher at all. The ignition switch has been changed, and I replaced the soft goods in the...

re: Art Workshops near Baton Rouge? - Grassy1
Yes, I'll probably get her some private tutoring, but would also like for her to do some more workshops and classes... she's gotta be "somewhere" during the summer. She does TAG art at school, so I might talk to her teacher about some recc's also. This morning she told me she wants some instru...

Art Workshops near Baton Rouge? - Grassy1
I have a teenage daughter who happens to be a pretty talented artist. She has taken a few art classes and really enjoys them, and always seems to learn a lot. She's open to learning anything, but would really like some help with acrylics and oils. Suggestions? Just fyi, there is a progra...

but hey... if your jumper cables break at the clamp: strip wire, then use the clamp to hold the stripped wire to the battery post. By the way, Lake Pelto looks different when your motor won't start....

re: boat polish - Grassy1
Be very careful with Starbrite Hull Cleaner! It works well, but is VERY corrosive. Make sure you rinse everything very well. Especially your trailer and the stuff inside your hatches. We used it a couple months ago. Went fishing last month and noticed all the places we missed. Corro...

re: selling a boat re test drives? - Grassy1
Great question, and can be argued all day, even on boating sites. Test drives cost money and time. Most people agree that the test drive should be a functionality test. The terms should be agreed upon before the test drive, that is, the final $ number, if everything on the boat functions as i...

re: Tax Day is source of unhappiness for marijuana industry - Grassy1
I'm not a big pot proponent, but it's pretty crazy for a business to have to pay "income" or "corporate" tax on every dollar of revenue. As most of you know, most businesses only pay taxes on the net profit. I guess that really explains why CO's black market prices are supposedly about 1/3 of ...

re: Think I need new shocks... dealership or some local joint? - Grassy1
For future work, shocks or otherwise, take your vehicle to Highland Car Care. Tell him I sent you. (and he will say wtf is that?) You'll be entertained, get your car fixed, at a fair price. Tires and tire pressure affect your ride and handling more than anything, imo....
