Greatest band to come out of Tech! I think Jeremy & some of the guys are still playing
They still do their Christmas reunion show but I haven't been able to get loose to catch it in three years. Remember their forerunner the John Brown Funk Review?

Is that where football player died?
Joe Delaney couldn't swim but dove in to try to save a little boy. They both died.

Johnny's
---------
My buddy. He dropped out when he got this hair that he could make money with pizzas. Haven't seen him since 1970.
His first pizza place opened, we were there first night with friends. He was, probably still is, a dreamer.
You left a very important one out: The Dynasty night club. T. Bradshaw was a frequent visitor.
Are any of you old enough to remember The Palace on Desiard. Worked there while attending NLU.
PS: I was a first year graduate of the newly named NLU in 1970.

I lived on the 7th floor one year. People were always bringing shopping carts, furniture and things up to the 13th floor and throwing it off on the bayou side. Some drunks threw the coke machine from the little break room over the rail one night. After that, they started locking those rooms up at 11 pm every night. They didn't open them up early enough for us to get in them while we waited for the elevator on cold mornings. Before then everyone did that.
Two of the places we used to Dine & Dash were The Vagabond Grill and Sambos.
When I was in elementary school I was fascinated by all of the monkeys on Monkey Island at the zoo. God how I wanted to swim out there and play with them.
Until I moved to Ruston, I thought Monroe had more squirrels than anywhere I'd every been.

Does anyone remember when Enoch's when across the street from the Library Lounge? Saw Dash Rip Rock there the weekend following my eighteenth.

Anybody remember Whip and Chad on 104.1 in the early 00's? Used to listen to them every day at work.

Was that a bar or a store?
I worked at Kraus & Cahn Menswear at Eastgate for a couple of years when I was there. Sold a lot of Jaymar Sansabelt slacks and Countess Mara ties there. Sold six suits to a preacher one day. Learned a lot from the owner in my short time there. He was 73 years old when they closed. He started working at Selber Bros. after that.
Wasn't there a Ralph & Kacoos on the way to the airport back in the 89's? Cheap lunch could be had at whatever it was.

Mad Sally's. My freshman year we had the last panty raid before they banned them. Night after girls came to Olin for a jock raid. Some fool threw a bucket of ice off 10 or 11 and liked to have messed a girl up. I was also there the night the Shah was going to give a speech and they shouted him off the stage. Cops were chasing guys all thru campus. Arrested 8 I think and held them. For a few days the story was we were going to trade them for our hostages in Iran. They let em go eventually. Carter was inept.
