I read the TP article on the beans earlier today. Very nice.

There are never too many reviews on the board. People eat different things at restaurants.

Wise, where ya gonna be for those drinks?

At the cocktail party VOR is throwing you. I'm making a seafood melody pasta.

Looks good GG. I'll be doing my Easter tour as well.

Friday:
Commander's lunch
Luke HH oysters
R'evolution late dinner
Saturday:
Coquette lunch
Root HH
Domenica dinner

Fat boy weekend.

It was hard passing on Peche, but I've gone the last 4 times I've been to NOLA. Really...really enjoy it. Their crudo is fairly straight forward but done very well.

That looks like a great lineup, Afro. Nothing on Sunday? What's HH?

I wanted Coquette, but I didn't get that one this time. I'll do it on my own trip later on. We've done Commander's quite a few times on this particularly trip. Please report on that as the new dishes I saw on Tory's Facebook page looked very inviting.

R'evolution is a check it off my list restaurant. I'm hoping it's a good experience. Tujague's is a "throw back" restaurant for one of the group and it's historic and I like historic.

It's hard not to return to other restaurants I love, but I like trying "new to me" places, too.

One thing I'm missing is oysters rock and I'm not very happy about that. I don't think I can handle going anywhere in between lunch and dinner. I'll be way too full. I won't be eating any breakfast, but I rarely do. I sleep through that meal.

I'm not crazy about Pascal's Manale and the last time I went, the BBQ shrimp were flavorless floating in oil, but the oysters rock were terrific.

VOR already "threw" me a going away party as you know.

What's a seafood melody? You gonna sing while you serve?

Sure I can sing if you like, but I'm a much better rapper after I've had a few drinks.

I'm more of a lyrical poet. You will like it. And my seafood dish is money. It's a fine collection of freshly frozen sea creatures from remote locations.

Ok, we will just have to settle for some craft cocktails at Ms Maes before Casamentos.

Since Peche has the same great menu for lunch, I usually hit it up then, freeing up another dinner opportunity.

Both GG's and Afro's lists look great, but ya'll are missing out on the Bywater neighborhood.

Mariza (or your Bywater restaurant of choice) should be on anyone's itinerary with that many restaurants listed. IMO.

It's nice to get out of some of the Uptown/Quarter/CBD for a change of pace. Plus they're doing some really great food.

Sounds like a good time, with interdesting charakters.

Know this sounds crazy, but Peche has a white bbq chicken appetizer that is superb. When crabs are in season, the crab app is amazing. I went twice in Feb & March and couldnt get it :(. Love that place. Hushpups are solid too. Not ur basic pup. I dont eat many pups.

Enjoy that run.

God knows, you're the master at that.

Peche - honestly, I don't see how you can go wrong with anything you order.

Irene's - haven't been in a long time, but I always liked the homemade pasta and garlic shrimp. The rosemary chicken is great, too (even if you don't usually order chicken).

Domenica - if you like rabbit, you have to try the tagliatelle w/ rabbit & porcini. Also recommend: any of the salumi, squid ink tagliolini w/ blue crap & herbs, lamb bolognese ( ), arugula & beets, brussels sprouts, roasted cauliflower.

Tujague's - well, the brisket w/ the vegetable soup is a classic, as is their version of chicken bon femme (again, not just an ordinary chicken dish); whatever you do, have a cocktail in the beautiful bar.

Just before you "threw" me out.

If you have the stomach for it, I'd love to pass by somewhere just to say "hi" for a couple of minutes while you're here.

Although, Wise has been practicing his vocal skills.

The new menu items at Tujague's are very good. I seldom used to eat there, because I'm not a fan of boiled meat (but, I was a regular at the bar). The new menu has many seafood items and the kitchen is showing an adept hand with grilled fish. The renovations that they did to the restaurant side are also very nice.
