Tripe is delicious dude. Horrible to smell while cooking but I loved the flavor and texture, like gizzards to me.

Cottage cheese and pineapple on unsalted crackers is a staple of my grandmother's daily diet

I can't think of anything really nasty that my grandparents eat.

Cow liver.

The first time I tried it, I almost puked.

I'll destroy fresh yardbird liver.

My first solid food, my siblings grew tired of my crying and gave me one, my mom wondered what the hell was going on and found me gumming way on one of them, age one month.

Ooey, gooey
Rich and chewey inside,
Golden flakey, tender cakey outside...what?!
These are awesome!

Now, pickled pigs feet visual not so much, but can understand the ham taste could be great. Liver, though...not so much period.

It is made from aged stockfish (air-dried whitefish) or dried/salted whitefish (klippfisk) and lye (lut). It is gelatinous in texture, and has an extremely strong, pungent odor. Its name literally means "lye fish."

My mom ate cottage cheese inside a pear half or a peach half. She also liked jello salads--jello dishes with fruit, veggies (carrots, cabbage), nuts and/or marshmallows in it. Then she put blue cheese dressing on it and made it even nastier.

My grandmother was the queen of jello salads, as she always seemed to have at least one in her 'fridge when we visited. I really think (and hope!) the recipes for those kinds of salads may die out with my mom's generation.

Tomato aspic. It's basically a tomato jello.
