3 week old twins at the house here so I understand the struggle and then some.
add in the fact we have a 15 month old and an almost 4 year old and needless to say I am a zombie right now. It feels overwhelming at times but the only thing you can do is take it day by day. ...

Take a look at East Tex Canoes http://www.eastexcanoes.com/ North of Beaumont. We did the village creek over nighter last year and it was a good time.
It is alot further but I would also highly recommend Rochelles canoe rental on the upper brazos for a longer weekend. ...

Icefields parkway from Lake Louise, Alberta to Jasper was a breathtaking drive. probably number one on my list followed by the Oregon 101 from Astoria to pacific city. Wish we could have gone further south on the 101 but didn't have the time.

We plan on taking the Wilson River highway through Tillamook on the way into Portland and checking out Apolloni and Risdall Ranch along the way.
the other option is to take Hwy 18 and stop at some of the ones on that route. Is the drive through Tillamook scenic enough to justify that?
