The adjustments these guys (TCU) have made over the course of one time through the order is outstanding.

Credit to Schlossnagle's bunch, incredibly well coached.
Jesus I jinxed the hell out of him

1-0 TCU on 2 straight hits
How in the hell does this kid have a 4.00 ERA?

Dude is untouchable tonight

Edit: First hit on a fastball that was up and kinda flattened out
Kowar's changeup makes my knees buckle and i'm over 1000 miles away from Omaha.
The TCU Pitcher's curveball looks like it breaks 2 feet
Kowar's changeup is unbelievable. Dear god the movement on that thing is phenomenal.
Why do you even swing at a curveball is my question if you're Florida? If the ump is calling those balls then don't even swing at it.
Can't stand inconsistent umps. Makes absolutely zero sense.

This ump will not call a curveball down the middle a strike. Unbelievable
Umpire with an absolutely giant strike zone to start off the top of the 1st for Kowar as he strikes out the side and he looked absolutely dominant.

They aren't as good as last year but they're still 10-15 points better than the 2nd best team in basketball.

We're all just playing for 2nd place unfortunately

Knowing us we'll probably beat Georgia soundly then lose to Arkansas on the road soundly.

That's just the way our season has worked out.
Pretty sure Muschamp is trying to win back the state from Clemson by offering kids all around the state.

Clemson's recruiting nationally and with Bentley on the staff they are probably trying to make this "South Carolina's" team and state. This will also help them get closer to the high school coaches in the state.

It's a process but this could be huge for us in about 2-4 years. Especially if T-Rob makes inroads on Clemson's territories in South Florida and B-Mac does his work in Georgia and in Tampa.

If you watch the Gamecock Confidentials (you really should)

Holbrook says to the players before the first series, I think it's in episode 4 that this is the first year where he doesn't think we have holes in the team.

Due to our start I'm prone to believe him, but let's wait until this weekend to start judging this team.
Tyasha Harris would fit that mold perfectly for us, 5-10 guard who's in the Tiffany Mitchell mold. Could be a PG/SG hybrid for us.

Plus we're bringing in a 5 star point guard in Araion Bradshaw and a 4 star Stretch 4 in Mikiah Harrigan.

Even though our depth is a bit worrying, I wouldn't be surprised if we bring in 1-2 more guards

Pretty sure if Widener or Webb struggle in the upcoming weekends you'll see Adam Hill potentially get a chance in the weekend rotation.

He's been far too dominant over his past 2 starts to not get a thought of being in that rotation.

I guess the great thing is that it looks like we might actually have depth in the weekend rotation this year. With the way Hill has been pitching, it looks like we can potentially count on 4 guys during the season.
I'd like to reiterate what I said on January 31st regarding Adam Hill after his peformance so far today.

quote:

3rd starter is up in the air right now, watch out for Adam Hill who could get a shot in the rotation, he pitched pretty well on Saturday.

9 Strikeouts in 5 shutout innings so far in his first start against Appalachian State
Holy shite that was a fun first half.

Good half aggies
Braden Webb is going to be an absolute stud. He struck out 7 in three innings on Friday.

We should have a great 1,2 punch with Schmidt and Webb at the top of our rotation. 3rd starter is up in the air right now, watch out for Adam Hill who could get a shot in the rotation, he pitched pretty well on Saturday.

Mcilwain's 2 home runs on Saturday were really just high fly balls that looked like they would drop just before the warning track but just kept carrying. It's almost shocking he's hitting so well because he just got here in early January but he's such a special athlete that I guess it really doesn't matter. He's still having freshman at bats though, so he'll have some frustrating moments at the plate but he'll outgrow those. He's way too talented not to.

The roatation in 2017 should be absurd with Crowe (hopefully) coming back with Schmidt, Webb and Cody Morris (who's an absolute stud as well).

Rotation wise and talent wise there is no way we shouldn't make at least the super regionals/CWS in 2017.

Fournette's the best running back, but Mccaffrey is the best player in college football. Affects the game as a runner, reciever and as a returner. An all around offensive weapon.

So I'll take Mccaffrey but it's a hard choice over LF7 because he's such a great running back.

Henry's great too but I feel like he's at his best going downhill and isn't as great creating something when there isn't anything there.
Homer pick I know, but Skai Moore's probably the best all around defensive player in the SEC.

2nd in the SEC in tackles and 2nd in the SEC in Interceptions.

Someone who needs to be mentioned is Kentrell Brothers who leads the SEC with 91 :ahh: tackles
