In the interest of full disclosure, it might be important to note, though you've probably already guessed, he's a UCF alumni.
He argued so strongly for the point, I was beginning to think I was the one who didn't know what I was talking about.
During a conversation with a friend, he tells me that the University of Central Florida is the second best college football program in the state of Florida. He didn't say that his statement was only limited to this past year, but rather now and in years to come.

The fact that Teo has won a single award is frankly embarrassing to me as a college football fan.
Your novel was interesting. Timeline is probably inconsequential. Only thing that really matters is if TM7 was found in an apartment with weed and whether or not the search was good. Even if WBRZ was tipped off, or if the police had other information that led them to go to the apartment it all comes down to the search. If Mathieu consented, he's probably cooked. Also, had he not consented, they might have been able to secure a warrant and searched anyway. Or they could have claimed that they needed to enter the apartment to prevent the destruction of drugs. Bottom line is, the fact that he was found in an apartment, and the amount of marijuana, makes the bong/papers/other paraphernalia argument moot. Life is hard, it's harder when you're stupid.
I think we're overlooking the larger issue here. Regardless of what happened THIS time, you have to view it in light of everything that has previously happened. No way in hell to you let him back on the team.
Lots of players have a great run before people learn what they do. Think about Denard Robinson. How's he looking now? Maybe the comparison isn't a great one because Manziel has a heck of an arm, and seems to be more accurate than Robinson, but Heisman predictions might be a bit premature.
