ezy, just walk around and make conversation...just tell people that this is your first LSU game and ask for some bit of information (i.e. what time do the players walk down the hill?, the band?, where is the hill?, the indian mounds?, the quad?,...do they serve food in the stadium?, etc.) people will be delighted to tell you all about how it works and some will offer food, etc.....

I personally would get there as early as you can (8 AM is not too early) and park in the levee or the hayfield lots which are free....

Hey spankum...thanks man. I am really looking forward to coming down there. Been a goal of mine to hit every SEC stadium.

Only ones left are Tiger Stadium, The Swamp, Sanford Stadium, and williams-brice.

This will leave my with only 3...until next year when it goes to 5.

Looking forward to it. When you say go to a few tailgates what do you mean? Just walk up to someone else's tailgate and hang out with them?

Game Day Advice

Posted by ezygoer on 11/21/11 at 7:30 pm
Posted this in ticket exchange but is probably more appropriate over here:

UT vol fan in Alabama here that married a gorgeous LSU lady last year.

Surprised her with tix for the Arkansas game.

We are coming down Thanksgiving day for my first LSU game and her first one in years.

Need advice on where to park/tailgate on Friday. What time to get there to get a good spot. I do not have a parking pass...do i need one (have to have one)?

Saturday we're wanting to go out to watch ballgames. What are the good sports bars to get some good eats but enjoy the games?

Any advice is much appreciated!

Looking forward to my 1st Tiger Stadium trip just wish it was a night game!

Thanksgiving Day

Will be coming down to BR for the Arkansas game but will be coming into town on Thanksgiving Day after an 8-9 hour drive.

Anybody know of any (preferably local) restaurants that will be open on Turkey day?
