Yep. 3rd and 5 late in the game, elected not to put it in his hands other than to hand it off. Lack of trust, at the moment.

re: The problem is not totally Nuss

Nuss now has thrown in just 9 games the same amount of interceptions as Burrow did in two years and twice the number that jd5 threw in two seasons. I do not recall any of these picks being outstanding plays by the opposing defense, i may be missing one though.

Now this begs for the question, is LSU or any program obligated to continue to play this guy praying he improves his decision making, or do you owe it to the team to go in another direction? It was appalling that we stuck with him last night once the game was already decided.
No situational awareness, that is what is holding him back. This is his third year and he had two full years of how that looks behind Jayden. That last 30 seconds of Jayden completing two short passes to even get the opportunity to chunk the miracle downfield hail Mary is elite situational awareness and that is the hardest part of this game for Quarterbacks. Drew Brees was never a great spinner of the ball over 40 yards, but damn he knew where to go with it. Arm talent is over rated, see Jamarcus Russel. The question is not whether he develops better awareness over the last half of this season, its if he does not is LSU obligated to keep rolling him out there, regardless? This guy has god given elite throwing talent, that's not the issue.

I agree, stop running the inside zone read with a non running quarterback, against elite SEC defensive ends its a walk in the park for them when they can ignore the pull from the QB.
