Thanks. Gotta ask the OP though, why the "frick LSU"? I mean, it was so universal among the ahole-type fans, it's almost like a message was sent out to say that. Pretty lame, unoriginal and mean spirited. Towards the end, it really got annoying, and other than being in an extremely good mood because of the arse-beating taking place on the field, I could see how easy it would have been to be drawn into a fight with some of these knuckle-draggers.

Overall, the WVU fans were cool to me, and wife, and we had a great time. I'm a fan of the team, but that segment of the fanbase...something needs to be done about them. They're really hurting the reputation of WVU.

What did you understand him to say?

Watched it again last night... pretty sure he said "f@ckin' p@ssy @ss m@ther f@ckers" after the K. Adams hit on Smith. That's what I saw, anyway

Yeah, I'm glad they're really trying to promote good and welcoming attitude to visiting fans. Morgantown FB page

Can anyone recommend a good easy to moderate hiking trail at Coopers Rock?

lsu_grl: glad to hear some LSU visitors will be checking out Cooper's Rock. Too bad the weather isn't going to cooperate this weekend, but it's still a beautiful place to see.

There's a very easy/mellow/flat trail along the main park road - Roadside Trail.

But I'd recommend parking at the Overlook parking lot, do the short walk to the overlook, and then go hiking on the Rock City trail. Rock City is really cool and worth the walk. If feeling a little more adventurous, hike the Rattlesnake Trail - narrow trail alongside the mountain, with lots of cool rock formations, and many rock scrambling opportunities.

The map on the cooper's website is pretty good. Have a great time!

this is the kind of info that I am looking for...I'm not a fancy food type of guy, but typically like to eat whatever the locals take pride in....

As a NOLA native/LSU alum now living in Morgantown, I can say WV isn't known for their food, but there are a few decent places to eat here in Morgantown. WVUbrandon mentioned several... I'd say to get a good 'Morgantown feel' be sure to check out Black Bear Burritos - not like mexican burritos, more like wraps. Anyway, lots of good beer and often free live music at night.

Also like Maxwell's and eat pretty regularly at both breweries. Oliverios is decent italian with nice outdoor seating and if you wanted higher-end dining, I'd say Sargosso is one of the best restaurants. (but kind of pricey)

Again, as long as you keep in mind that this isn't southern LA/NOLA and you don't expect that level of food, you won't be too disappointed.

Does either place bottle their beer?

Both breweries sell and/or fill growlers. Neither bottles their beer yet. (pretty small breweries)

Where can I find the pizza rolls and place with everclear margaritas?

You might be talking about the margaritas at 'Los Mariachis'? Pretty close to the stadium, too. They don't have a website, but there are some reviews on Yelp

I've heard Fatheads is good, but have never been.

Stadium beer - actually, it's the other one - Morgantown Brewing Co. that's being served. Haven't been to a WV game this year (am going to LSU game, of course), but am happy to have good beer being served there.

rutiger-
the two local breweries are:

Morgantown Brewing Company - LINK /

Mountain State Brewing - LINK /

I like both, with a slight edge to Morgantown Brewing Co. They have more choices, more imaginative beers with slightly more flavor. Food is decent too. Mountain State is good as well, but they stick with the basics: Amber, Stout, IPA, and a Light Ale. They do serve brick oven flatbread pizzas which are really good.

Another cool place to check out (for beer lovers) is Jay's Getaway. - LINK
Small, cool bar with good atmosphere. THE best beer selection in Morgantown, by far. Nice selection of rotating taps. I've been surprised by what shows up here. My favorite place to drink locally.

If you happen to be staying in Pittsburgh for a night, and like Belgian beer, you have to check out one of the Sharp Edge locations. LINK / Excellent selection of belgian beer, many on draft that I've never found anywhere else.
