I agree on the 30-06 but what if one day he walks out at 500yds.
Are you going to trust that 30-06 to put him down and not just wound him?
Alittle over kill is always better than just wounding one and it getting away and suffering.

Not long enough and it was built in west monroe its only 100 or 150yds

Pretty much as the title states. Best range is about 100 yards that i know of, looking for longer if posible....
