Just so you know the law cause a lot of you think that googling bb gun, etc will actually give you a real answer...I stated that by LA law it has to be a dangerous weapon..if any of you had been to court before you might have known this...a fake gun, bb gun, whatever will not be be charged as Armed Robbery in this state and successfully prosecuted.... By it being fake or bb gun it changes the standard for REASONABLE...would a reasonable person have acted in self defense...Don't watch law and order and think you know anything about real law or courts...
Read the statute...

A. Armed robbery is the taking of anything of value belonging to another from the person of another or that is in the immediate control of another, by use of force or intimidation, while armed with a dangerous weapon.

there is also a fire arm addendum that adds 5 years to minimum 10 year sentence....
Learn what you are talking about..Real Law is different than TV or Internet...

I was simply pointing out the LA armed robbery laws, I think it will be ruled reasonable, and most people that had a weapon would have done the same, but this does muddy the water...the link on the N.O. case is typical bs by news and police as they do not want kids robbing people, but no DA, repeat NO DA will chg them with armed robbery the definition is wrong....every TV show with a suicide in it will mention that the ins company will not pay off in case of suicide which is totally bogus, but TV doesn't want people killing themselves so family can collect,,, TV does socially responsible reporting most of the time...I support the 2 players, I am a former LSU athlete myself...but the BB gun is legally a twist...

Several problems going on legally in this "Armed Robbery", self defense shooting in case you are not familiar with LA law....in an Armed Robbery the attacker must be in possession of a "Dangerous, life threatening weapon" not one that someone thought was dangerous...If indeed the suspect had a BB gun and not a real gun, then the LSU players have serious issues...Likely that the reason no updates is that LSU and the DA office is figuring how to handle this case...It will likely go to a Grand Jury and a not be tried as everyone can understand if they are in the same situation..but if a BB gun was what Kobe had the CEH and the other player do have more issues than most would be aware of...will be surprised if he made trip to Fiesta bowl...hope he did...LA law on armed robbery is very specific noted than someone said that bringing a bb gun is like bringing a knife to a gun fight...the players would have been better if it was a knife that qualifies as a dangerous weapon...stay tuned..
