I'm suprised the Air Marshall didn't take them out. I guess there were too many Saints fans to do anything about it.

Yes it was definitely used in New Orleans in the late 1800s. It was also used by St. Augustine Highschool and Southern University in around 1960s. That's about all that needs to be said. No wany any other pro sports team used it before this. It was born in Nola and will stay in Nola.
