Can anyone recommend a bank or credit union to open a business checking account with in New Orleans or Metairie?
I'm looking for a red jersey. Third Coast's website says they are sold out at the Vets location. Any other suggestions?
Is it packed yet? I'm leaving uptown in a few.
I thought it would be earlier. In that case, I may end up at the Abita pub crawl after.

The arrangement post law suit was described as "leaving your wife, starting to date a hot chick, then a judge forcing you to go back to your old wife."

:rotflmao: A bartender described it to me in almost the exact same terms.
I'm assuming they didn't have any issues with their flight. I live right by Audubon so I'm probably going to walk over and check it out. I think I'm going to take it easy tonight so that I can be at Finn's bright and early tomorrow.
I'm not trying to flip the property. I was planning on living in one unit (for 2-4 years) and renting the others.
I have been looking at few 2-4 unit properties uptown and was wondering if anyone familiar with the local market thinks prices will change significantly in the next 12 months.

Also, I am planning to live in one of the units. Does anyone have advice as to how I could best complete a rent/buy analysis considering it would be an income producing property? I will also have to weigh the tax implications of the rent revenue/ figure out which maintenance costs would be deductible.
Is anyone at Finn's yet? I was hoping to get a spot at the bar, but wont be able to leave for another 20 minutes. I'm guessing it will be full by then.
Both the foie gras and lamb were excellent. I enjoyed the atmosphere, though it seemed a bit dead during the week (only 4 people in the place at 9pm on a Wednesday night). I would definitely recommend checking it out if you're in the quarter.

Amen. I'm not thrilled about the girl he's going with anyway. But seriously, I probably couldn't date a vegetarian.

First date in New Orleans

My friend just called me asking about a place to take a first date in New Orleans. I was going to suggest Martinique, Vizard's, Daisy, or Boucherie, but he then told me that he wanted to spend under $100, which would knock out the first three, and that she is a vegetarian, so I'm assuming Boucherie wouldn't work. I'm thinking of suggesting Crepe Nanou for that price range. Does anyone have other suggestions considering the $ and vegetarian.

I've been to the Miami location a few times and you can't beat the happy hour. $4 pints/ $4.50 goblets and 1/2 off all appetizers.

Very true.

I considered the MS in finance at Tulane, but just couldn't see it bringing me far enough to justify the cost at this point.

Sobeiski is at chevron, albertson's, all over for 10 bucs for a 5th

I didn't realize that. I guess I discovered it while in Florida and I go there fairly often, so I stock up on the $16 handles.

Also, Russian Standard is excellent, as is there premium brand, Imperia.

It depends on how they look and personal preference. When I buy them by the dozen I usually just shuck them. When I buy sacks, the oysters are sometimes completely covered in thick mud, so I hose them off first and sometimes go at them with a brush.

Anyone looking for a high end vodka at a reasonable price should try Sobieski. Same quality as goose, kettle, belvedere, etc, but I paid only about $17 for a handle. Unfortunately, I always buy it at the liquor store next to the Publix at Sandestin, so I don't know how easy it would be to find in Louisiana.

Buy the book, learn the quant formulas, attempt to speak properly for the couple months leading up to the test and you will be just fine.

That sounds about right. Also, spend some time working the practice problems provided in the software they give you when you sign up for the test and don't spend too much time hung up on one problem come test time. I signed up on short notice and studied the entire weekend before the test and I did just fine.
