Yes I was there. When Menou heard the comment He stepped back and turned and looked into the stands and then heard “Yeah I’m talking to you”. The stands were packed with fans .(could have been more than one person making a comment?) All in all a great atmosphere and contest. Other than this one guy, Holy Cross was a gracious an accommodating Host. The coaches and players were competitors and sportsmanlike. Menou should not have made the detour around home plate. “Yeah I’m talking to you” made it personal and Menou overreacted, He hasn’t done it before and I doubt He will do it again.

If you are going to quote someone make sure it’s accurate. What the Fan from Holy Cross said was “Come on (the pitchers #, 37 I think) Strike this long lanky bastard out” Menou did not appreciate the fact that this guy was questioning whether or not his parents are married. And this does not excuse his reaction. Menou has always been very cool and never shows emotion like this. But this time a little “swagger” came out. While I don’t condone it I probably would have done something worse.

Sam Houston High School pitcher
He got a couple of hits Saturday, and an RBI sac fly...the one thing that I disliked was that they played at Mel Ott (HC's home field right now) and on his last at bat, an HC fan hollered to the team "Please get this guy out", meaning that he was hurting HC on the mound as well as at the plate. Well, the guy hits a fly to CF for the RBI sac fly and then on returning to the dugout makes it a point to come all the around to the 1st base side stands and clap his hands to the crowd, an arrogant and classless move, but Sam Houston has what appears to be a good team. They used the small ball to put the pressure on HC defense and it worked.
