Lately it keeps showing me old schedules etc.

Have you downloaded the most recent update? Sorry if you have, and I promise I'm not trying to be a smartass. Just that I had the same frustration yesterday, searched and dl'd the update, and now everything is running great again. The new update is a pretty massive overhaul that highlights Olympic coverage, which is why I think the old version is so problematic.

Is anyone else's cable cutting out?

Yeah, I just got switched to a different feed & different announcers. C'mon, Fox.

FOX really needs to cut the shite playing the NFL music.

Don't they even use it for their UFC stuff? Definitely agree they should pony up for a different tune. It's not like they don't have the budget for it.
I find it hilarious that they dropped the British guy (I forget his name) that is usually with this studio crew for the transition from FSC to regular Fox. Guess they don't think a broad American audience can handle too much foreign-ness.
Held my breath big time on that shot. Nice play design out of the timeout. Thank goodness Bost missed it.

It's far too early to judge this trade too positively or too negatively IMO.

Agree 100%. Kelly Dwyer's headline sums it up perfectly: Massive deal that raises heaps of questions.

The Hornets certainly recieved quality pieces, but they also gave up a top-5 player in the process. Not the worst start, but Demps clearly has a lot of work to do if this is going to lay a solid ground work for a sustainable future.
Am I the only one that's worried we won't be getting the "good" Odom? Remember, he disappointed his entire career until he was able to go to LA and only have to be a difference maker 2/3 of the time. Not convinced he's going to dig life in NOLA after getting a taste of being Mr. Hollywood. Could easily see him sulking/being disinterested.

However, based on this one deal, its bad. The worst part is he went to the goddamned Lakers.

This is what gets me. I understand staying level-headed and seeing how all this plays out. But, there is an irrational side to being passionate about a team/sport, and my irrational side is fricking pissed off that I have to watch him play for THAT team, for THOSE fans. Worst-case scenario, from that angle.

I don't agree with the "don't trade him NY" mentality. If it is a choice between keeping him for one more year and then him leaving with nothing or trading him to NY, then I'd trade him to NY and at least get something. Landry Fields is a decent young player and we could take a couple of future first round pics. Billups would be a solid replacement until we get someone else. Maybe we can get them to throw in enough cash to pay some debt off and get prospective owners back interested.

I also like Fields, but only as my team's 5th or 6th option. Also, his rookie contract expires at the end of this year (just like MT5's last year). I would be willing to bet that some GM will throw way too much $$ at him, so then we'd basically lose him, too. Also, the Knicks sent most of their (pretty worthless) picks to the Nugs for Carmelo.

If CP wants a different team, he's done the Hornets plenty of good over the years and I wish him no ill will. But he'd better open up to the idea of that different team not being the Knicks, unless he wants to spend a year in NOLA on a non-contender, and then take a huge cut in guaranteed dollars to team up with his buddies in NY next summer.
I realize I'm in the minority when I say this, but I don't necessarily think that just playing out the year and risking losing him to free agency is an undesirable path. The Clippers have some intriguing pieces, but the proposed deals with Boston/NY/LAL only seem like a surefire way to trap the Hornets in the NBA's vortex of mediocrity.

Try to improve the team with smart, relatively modest moves in this year's free agency. Play out the season, and hope that the team competes well enough to make him think long and hard if it's worth leaving the years and money on the table in order to go to NY. If CP still decides to go, take the Top 5/Top 10 pick in 2013 and build with that.

(Obviously, this is largely contingent on getting an owner committed to keeping the team in NO before the end of the season. Everything I've read up to this point leads me to believe this should happen.)
BEAUTIFUL last play by cp. what a game so far
that second martin three was all on willie. helped on a c. lee drive going nowhere and gave martin all kind of space to step in to his shot. pretty dumb move
kobe can't win a title without shaq

said there was no way duke would even make the final four last year, much less win the title

was also wrong about bradford

sure there are a bunch more, these are just the few that immediately come to mind

How about the color guy saying Pauls minutes are down?? He's only about third in minutes played in the league. What a dipshit.

cp is playing the fewest mpg of his career this year

NBA says game is on espn but espn has lakers at blazers on the guide. What gives?

lakers-blazers was initially scheduled, but league (or maybe it's the network) has option to switch certain games later in the season. this is one of them, so you'll be fine. just an error with your tv guide

and to the op--enjoy! best seats in sports

stackhouse
magloire
ilgauskas
ratliff
okur

had no idea theo ratliff was still in the league
i wouldn't--for the money purposed pointed out above, plus miller isn't the 'active' of big that we need. not a rebounder or shot blocker, and i don't know much about his defense, but he looks slow as hell so his rotations can't be that great.

though i appreciate his overall game, just not what we need to get markedly better right now.
