re: Haynesville Shale North of Benton??
Posted by undeadpoet007 on 8/12/08 at 5:40 am to undeadpoet007
I should probably add that my acreage in this area is greater than 500 acres, so those with small leases may have to wait just a bit longer. I will also throw out this information: the shale formation is largely speculative (we all know this). The well in T19 that Petrohawk considered to be a "screen out" was only drilled to 9000 feet. However, Samson's well in T19, which is said to be productive, was drilled to 10800. What I have heard (unfortunately second hand) is that Petrohawk left this well incomplete to slow northern Caddo land acquisitions. When this much money is involved, I would not be surprised. Bottom line, though, is to be patient and watch the matador leases in T20N R14W and the others in T20N R15W.

Well, I am in T20N and had a verbal offer today... not quite what I wanted, but not that bad either.
