WWYD - sick dog
Posted by 610splitz on 2/17/26 at 1:51 pm
I have a two year old lab mix who's been sick the last two weeks with intermittent vomiting and chronic diarrhea.
I've taken him to the vet and they've done blood paneling and fecal tests, both which didn't show much. The fecal came back negative. In the first panel, he had a high pancreas level so the thinking was it could be pancreatitis, but a week later, they did the second pancreas-specific test and it came back normal so they ruled that out.
Their suggstion has been to just keep him on a bland diet of chicken and rice but this has been going on for a while now and I'm getting more and more concerned. When he's started to get better, I've started switching him back to his normal food, but he vomits everytime I do that. Kind of at a loss of what to do.
Anyone ever dealt with something similar or have any suggestions?
