I would have thought little boys were more to his taste.
Got rid of this a few years back by having the physical therapist put some kind of needle in the calf area, and running a mild electric current through it. Forget what the proper name for it was but it worked with just three sessions. And have good arch support in most shoes of course; and barefoot at home.

I heard NOPD has been doing the same thing for a while now.
Number one consideration for a first car should be safety. I suggest a slightly used Acura RDX. Or one of the Honda SUV's. Don't get the girl a high performance SUV that could be a bit much for a new driver.
Great advice, thank you!
Mortgage question
Posted by Nachomama on 7/21/25 at 7:30 pm
Is it possible to get a mortgage if you are not employed, but can put 30-40% down? Have been living off an inheritance the past several months, and making money with covered call options and some light day trading. Credit score is probably around 700; had a 30 day late while my parent was in hospice. I know there are some mortgage brokers on this board, would love to get some advice.

"if the call price hits, OP would lose their shares and have to buy in and reestablish at a higher price."
I like the idea of selling covered calls but this is what is bothering me here; would like more guidance. The rest I am leaning towards putting in dividend stocks that pay 6-7% and/or in a REIT.

SaintsTiger, can you name some of the best ones you are holding?
Covered calls on QQQ is interesting; sounds a bit risky (which is what I am trying to avoid) but I will investigate.
I am starting a business since I was laid off last year because I was devoting too much time to caregiving before my parent died. So I will need some kind of income for the first year; I can take a little risk but not too much. Would like to work another 8 to 10 years and retire. Am scared of putting all my money in the market because I think it can easily go down from here.

Need advice on investments

Hello all, I have recently inherited approximately 500k that needs to generate some income. I just need about $1,700 per month after taxes to live on as I have a bit of rental income also. I am a big fan of QQQ but don't want to put the money into one fund. What else in the way of index funds can I add for diversity? What else do you guys think should be in the portfolio for safety? Would love to hear how you would allocate. FTR I am 56, no debt except for mortgage at 2.75%. Unfortunately no retirement savings of significance. Looking forward to your help.
