Definitely agree. My success reference was to his position or positions he was coaching. The defense definitely was subpar with Brian Van Gorder at the helm calling plays. LSU's overall success despite the H2H record versus Notre Dame in bowl games that didn't matter (2014/2018 who cares about a music city bowl?) can't even be compared in the last 30 years. LSU has been better than ND as a program over the last 30 years. Anyone who tries to polish that turd to a different tune is only fooling themselves.

Again, I apologize for that. It wasn't my intentions.

I didn't mean to be patronizing. It is just reality. The same reality was that LSU paid Kelly and gave Kelly an opportunity that ND couldn't to live in an area that ND could never replicate and gave him some wiggle room in recruiting that ND would never give him, among other things that Kelly valued more than ND. Better golf courses too.
I respect the hell out of the LSU brand of football. A helluva lot more than I respect some other characters in the SEC. God bless to you all and happy holidays. I wasn't trying to infiltrate your forum.

No. He is already headed here
@bearcrocs
ND fan here. I have been reading this forum off and on the last decade plus because your fan base has some of the greatest rants ever and from an outsider it is pure comedy
However, I come in peace here without any trolling or ill-will.
I can assure you that Mike Denbrock does not hate the south, hate Brian Kelly, hate LSU, nor did he want to damage the program on the way out. I am sure part of this all came out when it did after the early signing period was over for that reason.
I can also tell you from very close friends with his wife, that Mike and his family LOVE the South Bend/Granger/Mishawaka area. They raised their children there. They love the university and he has had two stints there and has had immense success as a TE coach, WR coach, OC and it is a program he loves and enjoys being a part of. He genuinely loves ND. Him leaving LSU has nothing at all to do with LSU. And if Brian Kelly is worth his salt, and he is when he puts his full effort into it, he will easily be able to find a suitable play caller. LSU is traditionally a top 10 program in college football. People will be very interested.
