How is LSU back? It's not even 2026 yet. All you did was hire the coach who has left a trail of ugly exits from the Raiders to Tennessee to USC to Ole Miss. I'd slow my roll until I see some evidence on the field. And I'd also make a mental note not to trust anything he says over the short and long haul.
He is a narcissist with little self-awareness.

Ole Miss is about on par with Michigan State and Oklahoma State.

When did Michigan State and Oklahoma State go to the playoffs?

There are still three SEC teams in this thing. I am pulling for one of them to win it. Tired of the BIG mouthing off all the time.
A system of complicated tiebreakers determined who went to Atlanta this year. A & M, Georgia, Alabama and Ole Miss were all 7-1. As I recall, during rivalry week, it came down to Alabama versus Georgia or Ole Miss versus Georgia. If Auburn had beaten Alabama, it would have been Georgia versus Ole Miss.

All that said, it may be time for conferences to do away with title games, especially if the playoff expands to 16. The name of the game will be the playoff. Instead, just award the team or teams who won the regular season a league title and wait for the playoffs. This year, for instance, if that system had been in place, the SEC would have declared a quad-championship. Some of these tiebreakers are ridiculous and devalue what a given time does any particular year.

Ole Miss will play in its 11th Sugar Bowl, aiming to improve its 6-4 record. Georgia will be playing in its 13th Sugar Bowl, aiming to improve on its 5-7 record. Fans of both schools love going to New Orleans. I lived there for thirty years and have enjoyed both Sugar Bowls and Super Bowls there.

This will be Ole Miss's 11th Sugar Bowl appearance over the years, where they hold a 6-4 record. Georgia has made 13 appearances with a 5-7 record. There will be a lot of red in the Superdome Jan. 1st.
An all SEC final would be terrific. Mainly because it would shut the BIG up for a while.

LSU=Short leash, short tempers. Watch what happens if Kiffin doesn't make the playoffs next year. Despite his overall success, he was famous for choking games that he should have won.
The solution is two-fold: 1) increase the bids to 16 Power 4 teams. 2) Set up a separate playoff for the Group of Five. There are lots of minor bowls that no one attends that could be incorporated into such a playoff, and that would give them some meaning.

Saving even one spot for a Group of Five team is a sham.
And do you know that for some fans it's just another version of 'mine is bigger than yours?'
Let's just say that stadiums don't win games. HC's, OC's, DC's and players do.
My research said that Oklahoma was reducing the size of their stadium to 73,000.
Aggie Dynasty: what was the score of that game? I do not doubt that A & M will likely reach that figure against Miami.

Attendance for the Ole Miss-Florida game was well over 68,000. Checking their stats: LSU game had close to 68,000. Most other home games were between 66 and 67,000. Capacity is 64,200+, so their attendance this year was well over capacity. Interesting to me that Miami, Texas Tech and Oregon did not equal this.
Did you know that most pro stadiums seat between 60 and 70,000?

Seems some fans are obsessed with how many people a stadium holds, as if bigger is always better. Not necessarily. Anyhoo, here are the figures for the 12 playoff teams.

Ohio State--103,000+. Record is 110,000 against Michigan.
Texas A & M--103,000+.
Alabama--102,000.
Georgia--93,000+.
Oklahoma--80,000+.
Ole Miss--64,000-68,000+.
Miami--65,000.
Texas Tech--60,000+.
Oregon--54,000-60,000.
Indiana--52,000.
Tulane--30,000.
James Madison--25,000.

-------------
Stadium size does not equal success in the portal/NIL or having the right coach.
Kiffin was questioned at his last press conference. "Will you be coaching the Egg Bowl?" His answer: "Why wouldn't I be? Do you know something I don't know?"

Bottom line: Kiffin and his players are only concerned with winning the Egg Bowl, going 11-1 and going to the playoffs. All this other noise is clickbait and wishful thinking on the part of desperate fan bases.

I have never seen so much crap about various coaches leaving programs for other programs in my life. Message boards should charge fees through the roof because many people use them as therapy sessions.

Can't help but notice that Lane Kiffin has been successfully cloned so that he can coach at LSU, Florida, Auburn, the Giants, the Dolphins and at any other opening at the high school, college and pro level. Anyplace except Ole Miss.

LIkely a recruiting trip for Knox Kiffin. LK was not there. Same with Florida visit. A guided tour of Baton Rouge is a nightmare, depending upon what time it is on the interstate. If morning or evening rush, it could take two hours to go two miles.
