Fun fact: Zachry did the expansion from just the horseshoe in (I think) the 1970s. They were pressed for time so they lifted each concrete section complete with sitting already assembled in place piece by piece. Modular building construction. Very utilitarian indeed.

The same thing was done at the Palacio Del Rio hotel in San Antonio. As the city prepared for the 1968 World's Fair, Zachry used modular hotel suites with plumbing fixtures, lighting, art work, furnishings all already installed and then placed them in piece by piece.

As a small throwback, during the recent $500MM renovation Kyle Field's brick facade is precast brick form liners with a decorative masonry finish. Those aren't real bricks, it's more like a veneer.

I get it. That’s why we’re fans. We have blind ambition in the preseason. We should. We’re fans.

Crowing about your team for the duration of a coach’s tenure and then backpedaling and saying, “well those teams sucked” is kind of chicken shite. We sucked in the 60s/70s but that doesn’t change the fact LSU mounted wins against us in that timeframe.
