Even earlier when Palmer lined up at QB in 92 or 93. It's been around a while.
Pic is def. in Tuscaloosa. Those 2 guys sit in front of me. They were trashed at gametime and came to the stands with a trampled corndog in each hand.

I guess using those methods he's not going to have enough info to do the calcualtion until something breaks or wears out.
I've never understood our gov't. Make a 50000 page tax code that no one, and I mean no one, can fully understand. Hold our money for a year, collecting interest, and then just give it back (sans interest accumulated). However, if you don't pay the gov't on time they can charge more than the rate considered "loansharking" in interest. When are we gonna collect interest on them holding our money?
re: Oh the Appraisal Insanity

I had a weird issue 5 years ago when I bought my house. It was a foreclosure on the lake that had been vacant for 6 months. When we agreed on the price (which was about $30000 below ask) the appraiser came out and appraised it $10000 above our offer. We asked why it didn't appraise for more and the mortgage company said it's worth more than the appraisal but they can't make it look like too good of a deal (citing some gov't shite).
After we'd been in the house for 6 months we had it reappraised. We had added siding and a metal roof. It appraised for $65000 more than we paid. Why the hell would the mortgage company's guy low ball it so much?

re: Question for the pool owners....

Your kids would love a pool in the back yard. My kids swim in ours every day (my 5 year old has swimmers ear right now). But for you, it'll be upkeep. If your doing it for the kids then knock yourself out. In 5 years you'll be ready to fill it in.
One of my neighbors told his kids (when they got to be teenagers) that they'd have to keep up his 20x40 if they wanted to keep it. There's a putting green where that pool used to be.

Had a friend who got a similar settlement and it wasn't taxable.

Take threesheets advice on Rich Dad Poor Dad and Millionaire Next Door. These books help you think like a successful investor, however, they don't give any specifics about niches. You will have to find your own niche.
I have a vinyl lined pool. My liner has been in for 10 years and probably has 2-3 left in it. My neighbor has a salt water pool and the first year was hell on him. Take a previous poster's advice and just forget about the pool. It will be more of a hinder than a pleasure.
I -live on a lake and have an inground pool (I wanted lake, wife wanted pool). Now my wife doesn't even swim in it, she takes the boat out in the lake and swims. My pool is 16x32-9 ft deep end. It's in direct sunlight so it eats up some chlorine. It cost's about $25 a week for chemicals, not to mention time to vaccuum and such.

Gold. For the short term. Gold will rise as Obama tanks our dollar. Oil is good for the summer months but you may have already missed the boat on that one. I like the idea of letting it ride on red.
Are we sure the guy in that pic isn't Urkel?
