What's crazy is, I swear I remember preseason there was a video of Jovic in practice just putting one 3 in after another but no matter how wide open he won't shoot one during a game.
I feel like that's the second time I've heard the "good grades" comment being thrown out for Magwood getting to play. I'm starting to wonder if on top of his lackluster defense and social media commentary, he was having some academic issues?
Nice way to start conference play.
Hopefully he’s ok, if not I hope Graves is feeling better soon.
So are some of y'all being serious about wanting to bring him back? He left the team after supposedly agreeing to a new NIL deal and then backed out after hearing what incoming guys were going to get. Nah, he walked out on a program that gave him a second chance and put up with his antics, all for more money, fine that was his choice. He left and I wouldn't want that locker room drama for 1 more or 6 more games.
Belyeu, He’s really been struggling at the plate this year

There isn't a player on this roster that is not easily replaceable.
Sure but do you want to replace every player? I think there is value in keeping some guys, SWA being one of them. He's a true freshman, you don't think he can improve? How long did it take for Dylan Cardwell or Jaylin Williams to be impactful? Players retained don't have to be a starter for next year, but you have to have some sort of continuity/culture; replacing everybody every year is too much. Nothing wrong with keeping SWA, Jovic or Freeman. You need a core of returning players and fill in the blanks with a freshman or two and transfers.

No idea why we offered him. He's not going to contribute as a freshman imo.
I would tend to agree. There are only so many "sure thing" freshman out there and you better have deep pockets to secure their commitment. It's why picking up 4-6 freshman per class is a thing of the past under most circumstances. They won't stick around to be developed but will be paid for their time on the bench and then will leave for another program to "get playing time". Money is better spent on transfers, Bruce even stated NIL changed the way he recruited and the number of freshman he recruited.
Looks like Martay Barnes has committed to FSU
Yeah, I never saw anything other than “medical condition”.
I'm with you on SWA, Jovic and Freeman. And I do like the thought of Overton staying. I'm curious about the others:
1. Pett - No way he goes NBA. Does he leave for "greener pastures" (aka, more money)?
2. Walker - Can he stay and develop?
3. Bashir - Don't know what to think of him, it seemed when we saw him the game was way to fast and physical for him.
4. Opurum - Have we ever heard what happened? I do think he could be a off the bench role player.
5. Magwood - I would be surprised to see him return.

as we will need to rebuild next season, too
Are you thinking nobody is returning? Or everybody will be cut loose to "start over"? I'm of the hope there are 3-4 guys that return.
Odd rotations with Murphy and Hall on the bench a good bit there, hopefully getting them back on the floor will help some.
If that was a live crowd shot, don’t think the noise will be a factor.

He built his current roster
By himself, nah. If you truly believe "he" built the roster, what are the other coaches on staff doing? Do you believe Bruce just said "Steven, go build me a roster of whoever you think will work, you don't need my input"? Come on, nobody is saying Steven didn't help build the roster but to act like he and he alone is responsible for assembling it is a bit of reach.

Steven is going to sink this program further than Bruce raised it.
You’re either really young or not very bright, maybe both.
Looks like Hall is back in the starting lineup

Freeman is long and athletic but doesn't play strong or fluid. He's opposite end of the spectrum from CBM
Would still love to have him stick around and develop. I think he’s still adjusting from d2, a bit reminiscent of Chaney, and he came around. I’d give him another off season, I’d like to think he can be a solid player in the future.
Ms St Tues presser when asked about whether he expects Hall to play, SP: He had a great practice yesterday and he's out there getting shots right now, so we hope for a great practice today.
