Not trying to come off mean or anything but I think he would have to do better than what his stats show at Miami (Ohio) to have LSU give him a look. I don't think he would really improve the position if Milazzo is healthy and LSU doesn't really have the extra room to just give.

That’s a fair point and assessment. I could also argue that the quality of pitching and coaching is in a different category than LSU. He’s a 4 year guy, and has great game experience. In my opinion, he would be a better fill than a true freshman, and could be coached up as well. The SEC schools that have reached out to him see potential if they are close to offering, which they seem to be. But I’m no expert by any means. Just for conversation
I’m curious also. I don’t keep up with baseball recruiting as well as y’all. Not sure who we have coming in as freshman (that will actually make it to campus).
Only a part of the story, my friend  I’m the optimist
Well, I know he’s reached out, but unfortunately hasn’t heard back from anyone.
Is Jay going to be looking for a catcher in the portal? My cousin just graduated, was a 4 year player for Miami (Ohio), a first team (2019) and second team (2021) all conference player, and now hitting the portal. He’s solid behind the plate and has some pop to his bat as well. He has 1 year of eligibility left, and has been reached out by a few SEC teams including 1 heading to Omaha. Being that his family are all from Louisiana, he’s a HUGE LSU fan, and would be a dream landing spot. LSU is the one school that hasn’t reached out. How do we make this happen?
