I'm okay with teaching my kids America existed before 1776

What's so bad about teaching kids in grade school the truth about indians and their history pre-arrival of Columbus? I was listening to Dan Carlin earlier on the slave trade and he brought up some interesting points. Now to be fair, yes the 1619 project has been debunked by ACTUAL HISTORIANS. However, this whole America started in 1776 is a bunch of bunk, too. That's ignoring 10,000 years of history before the time of Paul Revere!
You can't have it both ways by saying the Clovis people didn't exist either! Anyone who says critical race theory in response is just plain ignorant, doesn't understand history is complex or doesn't appreciate history from both sides like Dan Carlin does! I'm tired of history being taught by morons who don't appreciate the uncomfortable truth!

One thing I love about Trump and why i'm voting for him in 2024

Is the fact he's FOR expanding public transportation!! Our party seems to be stuck in the stone age when it comes to alternative ways of riding. Elon Musk is on record of wanting to fund the project. What the heck is wrong with these folks like cotton? Give me one good reason why we can't have bullet trains.
It's an embarrassment that Tom Cotton reps my home state of Arkansas.
Public transit means development, JOBS and a bustling community.
Plus, less idiots who can't drive on the road!
Most of America LOVES trains! What the frick is wrong with our base? :spank: :spank: :usa:
quote:
“I’m excited to commit $100M to funding to @MiamiDadeCounty, FL in @USDOT funding to connect fast-growing communities through state-of-the-art transit service!” Trump wrote in one of a series of 10 tweets on May 28 that announced each area’s award separately. “Fast, safe, and beautiful infrastructure!”

re: My son is interested in history. What places do you recommend visiting in the south?

 All good! Do they offer tours? We went to one outside of DC and it was pretty cool. He's also into historical homes and designing, too.
My son is interested in history. What places do you recommend visiting in the south?

We watched the Ken Burns documentary last night on Ben Franklin + a nova episode on Vikings and my son who is 11 got all excited about what we should do for summer. He's really into history and archeology in North America pre-dating Columbus.
Are there any volunteer programs for kids into this kind of stuff to see what a dig looks like in LA or near Mississippi? Any advice is welcomed! :usa:
